Job summary

Smart Work Consultants is seeking an HVAC Mechanical Design Engineer to drive HVAC system design, load calculations, ducting, piping, and equipment selection for commercial, industrial, and residential projects. You will develop layouts, BOQs, schedules, and technical drawings, coordinating with multi-discipline teams to ensure code-compliant submissions.

Responsibilities include design drawings, BOMs, equipment specs, and quantity estimates, plus review and revisions to meet project timelines.

Qualifications

• HVAC system design and engineering knowledge.
• Heat load/cooling load calculations.
• Ducting and piping design expertise.
• HVAC equipment selection experience.
• AHU/FCU/chiller knowledge and specs.
• Ventilation and air distribution design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit MEP preferred.
• Familiarity with HVAC codes and standards.

• Support execution with technical clarifications.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, and sites.
• Manage design revisions and timely submissions.

We are looking for a skilled HVAC Mechanical Design Engineer to work on HVAC design and engineering projects. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of HVAC system design, load calculations, ducting, piping, equipment selection, BOQ, and engineering drawings.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, residential, and other engineering projects
• Perform HVAC heat load calculations and select appropriate equipment
• Prepare HVAC layouts, ducting, piping, and equipment drawings
• Develop HVAC design drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
• Prepare BOQ, equipment schedules, material specifications, and quantity estimates
• Select and coordinate HVAC equipment such as AHUs, FCUs, chillers, pumps, and ventilation systems
• Coordinate HVAC designs with Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Structural, and Architectural teams
• Review drawings and ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable standards
• Support project teams with technical clarifications during execution
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, and site teams
• Manage design revisions and ensure timely submission of drawings
• Assist in resolving design and site-related technical issues
