Job summary

Sanvi Business Solutions is seeking an HVAC Engineer for site execution in Chennai. The role requires 4-5 years of HVAC contracting experience, with hands-on supervision of VRF/VRV, chillers and related systems from Guindy to sites across Chennai.

You will interpret HVAC drawings, coordinate with design teams, perform testing and commissioning, and ensure adherence to ASHRAE/SMACNA standards while maintaining safety and quality on all projects.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech or Diploma in Mechanical is mandatory.
• 4-5 years experience in HVAC contracting company with site execution.
• Strong knowledge of heat load, duct design, pipe sizing, psychrometry and MEP coordination.
• AutoCAD for drawing review and MS Excel proficiency; HAP/Trace 700 is a plus.
• Familiar with ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISHRAE, NBC standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise installation of VRF/VRV, Chillers, AHU, FCU, Pumps, Cooling Towers, Ducting, Piping & Insulation as per drawings.
• Read and interpret HVAC layouts and schematics; coordinate with design team and resolve clashes with Civil/Electrical.
• Testing and commissioning: pressure tests, duct leakage tests, air and water balancing, system commissioning with client/consultant.
• Ensure quality per SMACNA/ASHRAE and implement site safety protocols.
• Raise material indents, check site deliveries and coordinate with vendors.
• Troubleshoot site issues: cooling, airflow, noise, vibration, and controls.
• Maintain DPR, site photos, inspection requests, checklists and as-built drawings.
• Attend client/consultant meetings and close snag points for handover.

• Two-wheeler Mandatory - Willing to travel to sites across Chennai from Guindy base

• Must be based in Chennai - South Chennai preferred
