Job summary

Leading HVAC Projects Company in Guindy, Chennai seeks an HVAC Engineer with 3-7 years to handle site execution of VRF/VRV, Chillers, AHU, FCU, and ventilation across Chennai. You will oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of BMS systems while ensuring quality, safety, and timelines.

Responsibilities include drawing coordination, supervision of onsite install, testing, balancing, safety, material management, troubleshooting, and client coordination for smooth project

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of HVAC contracting experience.
• Must have site execution experience in VRF/VRV or Chiller projects.
• Strong knowledge of heat load calculation, duct design, pipe sizing, psychrometry, and MEP coordination.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of HAP/Trace 700 is a plus.
• Familiar with ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISHRAE, NBC guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Site execution supervision of HVAC equipment at Chennai projects.
• Reading HVAC layouts and coordinating with design team for shop drawings and resolving clashes with Civil/Electrical works.
• Testing and commissioning including pressure testing of refrigerant pipes, chilled water pipes, duct leakage testing, air and water balancing, and system commissioning with client/consultant.
• Ensure installation quality per SMACNA/ASHRAE; enforce site safety protocols and PPE compliance.
• Material and vendor management: indents, material reception, and timely delivery of ducts, grills, dampers, and insulation.
• Troubleshooting: diagnose and rectify site issues related to cooling, airflow, noise, vibration, and controls.
• Documentation: maintain daily progress reports, site photos, RFIs, checklists, and as-built drawings for handover.
• Client coordination: attend meetings and site walkthroughs for smooth handover.

*Work Timing:* Monday to Saturday.

*Job Summary Hiring a site-oriented HVAC Engineer* to execute commercial & industrial HVAC projects across Chennai. You will handle installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of VRF/VRV, Chiller, AHU, FCU, ventilation, and BMS systems while ensuring quality, safety, and timelines.

*Key Responsibilities Site Execution*: Supervise installation of HVAC equipment — VRF/VRV outdoor-indoor units, Chillers, AHU, FCU, pumps, cooling towers, ducting, piping, and insulation as per approved drawings

1. *Drawing & Design Coordination*: Read and interpret HVAC layouts, SLD, schematics, duct/pipe routing. Coordinate with design team for shop drawings and resolve clashes with Civil/Electrical works

2. *Testing & Commissioning*: Conduct pressure testing of refrigerant pipes, chilled water pipes, duct leakage test, air balancing, water balancing, and system commissioning with client/consultant

3. *Quality & Safety*: Ensure installation quality as per SMACNA/ASHRAE standards. Implement site safety protocols, toolbox talks, and PPE compliance for all workers

4. *Material & Vendor Management*: Raise material indents, check materials received at site, coordinate with vendors for timely delivery of ducts, grills, dampers, and insulation

5. *Troubleshooting*: Diagnose and rectify site issues related to cooling, airflow, noise, vibration, and controls during installation & commissioning

6. *Documentation*: Maintain daily progress reports, site photos, inspection requests, checklists, O&M manuals, and as-built drawings for handover

7. *Client Coordination*: Attend client/consultant meetings, site walkthroughs, and close snag points for smooth project handover

*Required Skills & Qualifications – Education*: B.E/B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

• *Experience*: 3-7 years in HVAC contracting companies. *Must have site execution experience in VRF/VRV or Chiller projects – Technical*: Strong knowledge of heat load calculation, duct design, pipe sizing, psychrometry, and MEP coordination

• *Software*: AutoCAD for drawing review, MS Excel for reports. HAP/Trace 700 knowledge is a plus

• *Standards*: Familiar with ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISHRAE, NBC guidelines

• *Skills*: Team handling, problem-solving, vendor coordination, and client communication

• *Other*: Two-wheeler mandatory. Willing to travel to multiple sites across Chennai. Located near West Mogappair preferred
