Job summary

You will handle design, calculations, and documentation in line with international standards, ensuring timely delivery through coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is required.
• 4-6 years of experience in HVAC design.
• Proficient in HVAC software such as HAP or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC codes such as ASHRAE/NBC/NFPA/SMACNA/ISHRAE.

Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC load calculations using HAP or equivalent software.
• Design HVAC systems, including Chilled Water, VRF, and DX systems.
• Prepare engineering deliverables: DBR, technical specifications, calculation reports.
• Develop drawings: tender drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Review and approve HVAC material submittals; coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with strong expertise in HVAC design to handle end-to-end engineering activities across commercial, residential, and industrial projects. The candidate should be capable of independently managing design, calculations, and documentation in compliance with international standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC load calculations using HAP or equivalent software.
• Design HVAC systems, including Chilled Water, VRF, and DX systems.

Carry out:

• Ventilation calculations
• Pressurization calculations
• External Static Pressure (ESP) calculations
• Pump head calculations
• Prepare engineering deliverables:
• Design Basis Report (DBR)
• Technical specifications
• Calculation reports
• Develop drawings:
• Tender drawings
• Shop drawings
• As-built drawings
• Select HVAC equipment and prepare technical datasheets.
• Review and approve HVAC material submittals.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for design integration.

Strong knowledge of HVAC codes and standards:

• ASHRAE
• NBC
• NFPA
• SMACNA
• ISHRAE

Proficiency in:

• AutoCAD
• Revit MEP
• Navisworks
• Autodesk Construction Cloud
• Good understanding of HVAC system design principles and project execution.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• Experience in Oil & Gas projects (added advantage).
