Qualifications

• 7–15 years of experience in HVAC design for industrial, commercial, warehouse or large residential projects.
• Routine execution of end-to-end HVAC design including calculations and design reviews.
• Design calculations, heat load, equipment selection, duct sizing, piping and ventilation analysis.
• Mentoring junior engineers and draftsmen for design deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage HVAC design department operations and deliverables.
• Lead HVAC system design for industrial, commercial, warehouse and residential projects.
• Perform and review heat load calculations, equipment selection, duct sizing, piping design and ventilation calculations.
• Prepare and review HVAC layouts, schematics, BOQs, specifications and design reports.
• Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, NBC, IS standards and project specs.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, PMC and internal teams.
• Review and approve shop drawings, submittals and vendor offers.
• Provide technical support during estimation, tendering, procurement and execution.
• Conduct design reviews and resolve technical issues.
• Manage timelines, manpower planning and resource allocation.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior HVAC Design Engineer who can independently manage HVAC design activities for industrial, commercial, warehouse and large residential projects.

The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end HVAC design, including design calculations, technical reviews, project coordination, design approvals, client coordination and mentoring of junior engineers and draftsmen.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage HVAC design department operations and deliverables.
• Lead HVAC system design for industrial, commercial, warehouse and residential projects.
• Perform and review heat load calculations, equipment selection, duct sizing, piping design and ventilation calculations.
• Prepare and review HVAC layouts, schematics, BOQs, technical specifications and design reports.

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in HVAC system design and engineering calculations.
• AutoCAD proficiency is mandatory.
• Experience with HAP software.
• Knowledge of Revit/BIM will be an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of chilled water systems, VRF systems, ventilation systems, ducting and piping.
• Good knowledge of BOQ preparation, technical specifications and estimation support.
• Strong leadership, coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple projects and client interactions.

• Proven experience in independently handling HVAC design department functions.
• Experience leading a design team and coordinating with cross-functional departments.
