Job summary

Cygnus Advertising (India) Pvt. Ltd.—based in Kolkata—invites an experienced HR Manager to lead recruitment, payroll coordination, and statutory compliance. You will manage day-to-day HR operations, ensure adherence to labour laws, and partner with management to optimize processes.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in HR, a strong HRIS/Excel skillset, and hands-on experience with PF, ESI and payroll tasks. Immediate joining is preferred in a dynamic advertising environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant HR experience in operations, recruitment and compliance.
• Graduate or postgraduate in Human Resources or related field; MBA in HR preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance.
• Hands-on experience in PF, ESI, payroll processing and end-to-end recruitment.
• Proficient in MS Excel, HRMS and payroll software.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection and onboarding.
• Handle statutory compliance related to PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Labour Welfare Fund, gratuity, bonus and applicable labour laws.
• Manage monthly payroll coordination, attendance, leave and employee records.
• Prepare offer letters, appointment letters, HR policies and employee documentation.
• Ensure timely statutory filings, returns, challans and compliance documentation.
• Handle employee relations, grievances, performance management and exit formalities.
• Prepare HR MIS reports and coordinate with management, finance and external consultants.

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced, proactive and detail-oriented HR Manager with strong expertise in recruitment, HR operations, payroll management and statutory compliance. • Ability to independently manage HR operations and meet compliance deadlines.
