You will develop policies, drive recruitment, manage labour relations, and foster a safe, productive workplace, balancing statutory requirements with operational needs.

Qualifications

• MBA/PGDM in HR or MSW (or equivalent) required.
• 12–20 years of HR experience with leadership responsibility in manufacturing/foundry.
• Strong knowledge of industrial relations and labour laws.
• Experience managing permanent employees and contract labour.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced and hands‑on General Manager – Human Resources to lead the HR function at our manufacturing facility in Udupi.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement HR policies aligned with business objectives.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, training and workforce planning.
• Manage industrial relations and maintain a positive working environment.
• Ensure compliance with labour laws, factory regulations, standing orders and statutory requirements.
• Handle employee relations, grievance resolution and disciplinary matters.
• Manage performance appraisal, compensation, payroll coordination and employee benefits.
• Develop supervisors, managers and high‑potential employees through structured training.
• Drive employee engagement, retention, productivity and workplace culture initiatives.
• Coordinate with factory management, contractors, government authorities and labour consultants.
• Maintain HR records, dashboards, statutory registers and management reports.
• Support safety, welfare, ESG and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Candidate profile:

• MBA/PGDM in Human Resources, MSW or equivalent qualification.
• Approximately 12–20 years of HR experience, including leadership responsibility in a manufacturing or foundry environment.
• Strong knowledge of industrial relations and applicable labour laws.
• Experience managing both permanent employees and contract labour.
• Kannada language proficiency is strongly preferred.
• Strong communication, negotiation, leadership and problem‑solving abilities.
• Willingness to be based in Udupi, Karnataka.
