Job summary

BGR Mining & Infra is seeking an HR Manager for a mining project in the Sundargarh district, Odisha. The role sits in the Human Resources department reporting to the Head HR / Project Head.

You will oversee day-to-day HR activities, manpower planning, recruitment, payroll inputs, and compliance with labour laws and statutory requirements. Strong communication and team leadership are essential for coordinating with cross-functional teams on site.

Qualifications

• MBA/PG Diploma in HR or equivalent required.
• Experience in mining, infrastructure or industrial projects preferred.
• Knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day HR activities at the mining project.
• Handle manpower planning, recruitment, joining and deployment.
• Manage employee and contract labour attendance, leave and payroll inputs.
• Ensure labour law and statutory compliance.
• Manage contract labour and contractor compliance.
• Handle employee grievances and industrial relations.
• Manage employee welfare activities and facilities.
• Coordinate EPF, ESI, bonus, gratuity and other statutory benefits.
• Maintain employee records, registers and HR documentation.
• Coordinate with Labour Department and other statutory authorities.
• Handle disciplinary matters and employee separation.
• Prepare manpower, attendance and HR MIS reports.
• Coordinate with Project, Operations, Safety, Administration and Finance teams.
• Ensure company HR policies and procedures are implemented at site.
