Job summary

Moring AI is building its India operations from the ground up in Chennai, and you’ll be the face of the company to every candidate, new hire, and visitor. You’ll own HR, onboarding, and office operations, helping scale from infancy to growth with practical systems and processes.

You’ll handle talent acquisition, onboarding design, and the day-to-day of HR, payroll inputs, leaves and benefits, while partnering with finance and vendors to keep the Chennai office humming.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years HR or People Ops experience at a high-growth SaaS startup.
• Hands-on operator spanning HR, office ops, admin, and finance.
• Builder's instinct to implement systems without being told what to do.
• Strong communication and people skills; able to be the face of the brand.
• Based in Chennai or willing to relocate to Chennai.

Responsibilities

• Source, screen, and close great people across engineering, product, and GTM.
• Design onboarding to get new hires productive fast; manage HR policies, payroll inputs, and leave/benefits.
• Run the Chennai office operations: facilities, vendors, travel, and supplies.

What you'll own

• Talent acquisition: source, screen, and close great people across engineering, product, and GTM. Own the candidate experience end to end.
• Onboarding & people ops: design onboarding that gets new hires productive fast; run the day-to-day of HR, from policies to payroll inputs to leave and benefits.
• Office & administration: keep the Chennai office humming - facilities, vendors, supplies, travel, and everything that makes a workplace work. Finance support: partner on expense management, invoicing, and basic finance ops alongside our finance partners.
• Culture & employer brand: be the brand of Moring as an employer - shape how candidates and employees experience us, on and offline.
• Systems & tooling: pick the HR, ops, admin tools and build the lightweight systems and processes that scale a company from its earliest days through rapid growth.

What we're looking for

• 4-5 years of HR or people-operations experience at a high-growth SaaS company or startup.
• A dynamic, hands-on operator who's comfortable spanning HR, office ops, admin, and finance - often in the same day.
• A builder's instinct: you spot what's missing, pick the right tool, and put a system in place without waiting to be told.
• Strong communication and people skills - you're polished enough to be the company's face and warm enough to make people feel at home.
• High ownership, low ego, and a bias for action in ambiguity.
• Based in (or willing to relocate to) Chennai.
