General Manager HR & Operations (India & Regional Support)

Role Overview
We are seeking a results-driven and strategic General Manager HR, Operations & Finance to lead our India operations while supporting regional workforce expansion. This role goes beyond traditional HR, combining people strategy with operational execution and financial oversight to enable scalable business growth.
You will play a critical role in aligning talent, processes, and financial discipline with our expansion across India, the UK, and upcoming global markets. Working closely with leadership across Product, Sales, Tech, and Customer Success, you will drive efficiency, accountability, and high performance across functions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership (HR + Operations + Finance)

• Drive integrated strategy across HR, business operations, and financial planning for India
  
• Partner with global leadership to support expansion into new regions (UK, NZ, future markets)
  
• Build scalable frameworks, systems, and governance for a fast-growing SaaS environment
  

2. Talent Acquisition & Regional Workforce Planning

• Lead hiring strategy across India and support regional hiring aligned with expansion goals
  
• Build strong talent pipelines across Sales, Tech, Operations, and Customer Success
  
• Improve hiring quality, speed (TAT), and employer branding
  
• Support cross-border hiring coordination and workforce planning
  

3. HR & People Operations

• Establish and manage end-to-end HR lifecycle processes (onboarding to exit)
  
• Develop policies, SOPs, and HR systems (HRMS, automation)
  
• Drive performance management systems aligned with business KPIs and incentives
  
• Foster a high-performance, ownership-driven culture
  

4. Operations Management

• Oversee day-to-day business operations for India
  
• Improve process efficiency, cross-functional coordination, and execution discipline
  
• Ensure alignment between business goals and operational delivery
  

5. Finance & Commercial Oversight

• Work closely with finance teams on budgeting, payroll, cost control, and financial planning
  
• Align compensation structures, incentives, and retention plans with revenue goals
  
• Support financial governance, reporting, and operational cost optimization
  

6. Compliance & International Support

• Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws and regulatory requirements
  
• Support UK HR and employment compliance in coordination with global teams
  
• Manage contracts, documentation, and audit readiness
  
• Prepare frameworks for future international expansion
  

7. Employee Engagement & Retention

• Drive engagement initiatives, feedback systems, and retention strategies
  
• Handle conflict resolution and employee relations
  
• Build a strong organizational culture aligned with company values
  

8. Analytics & Reporting

• Track and report key metrics: hiring, attrition, performance, cost efficiency
  
• Provide data-driven insights to leadership for decision-making
  
• Improve visibility across HR, operations, and financial performance
  

Required Qualifications

• 1015 years of experience across HR, with exposure to operations and/or finance
  
• Minimum 5+ years in leadership or business management roles
  
• Experience in SaaS, tech, startup, or scaling environments
  
• Strong understanding of India HR practices; exposure to international markets is a plus
  
• Proven experience managing cross-functional responsibilities
