Job summary

Fairmont Udaipur Palace is seeking a motivated Housekeeping Supervisor to lead a dedicated floor team during our pre-opening phase. You will ensure room cleanliness, supervise daily tasks, and uphold Fairmont's standards of luxury and service.

You will conduct briefings, monitor guest room quality, and coordinate with the Executive Housekeeper to support attendance and performance of colleagues. Fluency in English is required; other languages are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or certificate.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Ability to speak other languages is a plus.

• Maintain room status and report damages.
• Ensure cleanliness of guest rooms, corridors, and pantries.

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct daily briefings with staff at floor level.
• Manage and supervise all tasks of his/her team.
• Ensure cleanliness of guest rooms, guest room balconies, guest corridors, linen rooms and housekeeping pantries according to standards and procedures set.
• Supervise public areas.
• Replenish guest supplies and ensure that guests requests are promptly attended to.
• Attend to reports on damage or malfunction in hotel rooms.
• Maintain equipment in proper state of cleanliness.
• Maintain a section floor report.
• Conduct regular room checklists.
• Report unusual behaviour/activities on floors to Executive Housekeeper.
• Record room status in allocated section accurately.
• Assist Executive Housekeeper in assessing Colleague’s attendance and performance.

Other Responsibilities

• Be well versed in hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures.
• Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by management.
• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the assigned by the Management.
• Establish and maintain effective employee working relationship.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/ certificate.
• Good oral and written proficiency in English.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar capacity.
• Ability to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage.
