• Maintain security protocols including entry/exit monitoring and visitor management; coordinate emergencies.
• Provide basic counselling and promote an inclusive residential environment; organize student activities.
• Liaise between students, parents, and institutional authorities; communicate with guardians as needed.
• Maintain records of student details, attendance, complaints and incidents; prepare reports for management.
• Supervise hostel staff; assign duties and monitor performance.
• Work in a full-time residential role; be available beyond hours; may include weekends.

Roles and Responsibilities

Hostel Administration & Operations

Student Welfare & Discipline

• Ensure safety, security, and well-being of all residents
• Enforce hostel rules, discipline, and code of conduct
• Address student concerns, conflicts, and grievances in a timely and fair manner

Safety & Security Management

• Maintain strict security protocols including entry/exit monitoring and visitor management
• Handle emergencies such as medical issues, accidents, or safety incidents
• Coordinate with security staff and local authorities when required

Counselling & Student Engagement

• Provide basic counselling and emotional support to students
• Promote a positive and inclusive residential environment
• Organize activities, meetings, and initiatives for student engagement and well-being

Coordination & Communication

• Act as a liaison between students, parents, and institutional authorities
• Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians regarding student welfare when necessary
• Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, kitchen, and administrative staff

Record Keeping & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of student details, attendance, complaints, and incidents
• Prepare reports on hostel operations, discipline, and issues for management
• Ensure compliance with institutional policies and guidelines

Staff Supervision

• Supervise hostel staff including caretakers, housekeeping, and security personnel
• Ensure staff discipline, duty allocation, and performance monitoring

Working Conditions

• Full-time residential role (stay within hostel premises is typically required)
• Availability beyond standard working hours to handle emergencies and student needs
