Job summary

The University in Pune is seeking a Hostel Warden to manage day-to-day hostel operations, ensure student safety, discipline, and a positive living environment on campus. This full-time role requires 2–5 years of experience in hostel or residential supervision; graduates in Hospitality, Social Work or Psychology are preferred.

On-campus accommodation and meals are provided where applicable. Rotational shifts and a 6-day work week apply; the wardenship acts as the bridge between students, parents

Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline; Hospitality/Social Work/Psychology preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience as a Hostel Warden / Residential Supervisor / similar role
• Experience in educational institutions, hostels, or residential facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily hostel operations to ensure smooth functioning.
• Maintain discipline and ensure adherence to hostel rules.
• Monitor student behavior and address grievances promptly.
• Ensure safety and well-being of all residents.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and security teams.
• Maintain records of student occupancy, attendance, and movements.
• Conduct regular rounds/inspections of hostel premises.
• Handle emergency situations effectively and responsibly.
• Organize student engagement activities to promote a positive hostel environment.
• Act as a bridge between students, parents, and university administration.
