Responsibilities

• Manage daily hostel operations and ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
• Maintain discipline and ensure compliance with hostel and university regulations.
• Supervise room allotment, student attendance, leave requests, visitors, and hostel records.
• Conduct regular inspections of student rooms, common areas, dining facilities, and hostel premises.
• Address student concerns, complaints, and welfare-related matters.
• Coordinate with parents, faculty members, counsellors, security personnel, and university authorities when required.
• Respond promptly to medical, safety, security, and other emergencies.
• Monitor housekeeping, maintenance, catering, sanitation, and security services.
• Prevent and report ragging, harassment, substance abuse, violence, and other misconduct.
• Organise hostel meetings, orientation sessions, and student engagement activities.
• Maintain records of incidents, disciplinary matters, hostel assets, and maintenance requirements.
• Prepare and submit periodic hostel administration reports.
