Job summary

Deekshalearning is seeking a Hostel Administrator to oversee daily operations, ensure safety and wellbeing of residents, and supervise wardens, staff, housekeeping and security. The role requires enforcing rules, managing attendance and coordinating with academic and management teams.

Candidate will act as primary point of contact for students and parents, handle concerns professionally, and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• Oversee day-to-day operations and administration of the girls hostel.
• Ensure safety, security, discipline and wellbeing of all residents.
• Supervise wardens, support staff, housekeeping, security and other hostel personnel.
• Maintain hostel rules, timings, attendance and discipline.
• Monitor attendance, movement, leaves, and entry‑exit records.
• Be primary contact for students and parents on hostel matters.
• Address student concerns, grievances and behavioural issues professionally.
• Coordinate with academic team, management and other departments.
• Ensure supervision of study hours, meals, recreation and daily routines.
• Monitor facilities, cleanliness, hygiene, maintenance and living conditions.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, food, security and maintenance teams.
• Respond to emergencies and escalate medical, safety or disciplinary incidents.
• Maintain accurate hostel records, registers, and documentation.
• Organize hostel activities, events and student engagement programmes.
• Ensure compliance with policies, safety protocols and hostel guidelines.
• Take on additional responsibilities related to student welfare and hostel administration as assigned.

• Monitor student attendance, movement, leave permissions, and entry/exit records.
• Act as the primary point of contact for students and parents regarding hostel-related matters.
• Handle student concerns, grievances, conflicts, and behavioural issues in a professional and sensitive manner.
• Coordinate with the academic team, management, parents, and other departments whenever required.
• Ensure proper supervision of study hours, meals, recreational activities, and daily routines.
• Monitor hostel facilities, cleanliness, hygiene, maintenance, and overall living conditions.
• Coordinate with the housekeeping, food, security, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth hostel operations.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and ensure timely escalation of medical, safety, or disciplinary incidents.
• Maintain accurate hostel records, registers, reports, and documentation.
• Organize and monitor hostel activities, events, and student engagement programmes.
• Ensure compliance with institutional policies, safety protocols, and hostel guidelines.
• Take additional responsibilities related to student welfare and hostel administration as assigned by management.
