Job summary

KEM Hospital Pune is seeking a hostel warden to manage hostel facilities and ensure smooth operations in Pune. The role involves daily rounds, enforcing discipline, and coordinating with housekeeping and HR teams to maintain standards within the hostel facilities.

The incumbent will be on-call for hostel-related issues, support other wardens, and maintain accurate staff records while ensuring compliance with all rules and regulations. Experience in hospital hostels is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate in any stream.
• 5–7 years hospital hostel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily hostel rounds and report issues to the hostel committee.
• Ensure discipline and compliance with hostel rules by staff and doctors.
• Maintain tidy rooms through housekeeping staff.
• Available on-call for hostel-related issues.
• Assist other hostel wardens in day-to-day operations.
• Maintain up-to-date hostel staff records and inform HR on exits.
• Inform HR about terminated employees occupying hostel facilities.
• Inform HR about employees who left belongings.
• Respond to on-site emergencies outside office hours.
• Ensure responsible use of facilities; prevent wastage of water and electricity.
• Raise monthly indents for items to keep hostels neat and clean.
• Any other work assigned by the HOD/Management.

Job Responsibilities

• Daily hostel rounds and reporting the issues / problems in the hostels to the hostel committee
• Ensuring discipline is maintained in the hostels and all the hostel rules and regulations are followed by the employees / doctors
• Ensuring all the rooms are kept neat and clean by the housekeeping staff
• Available on call as and when required for any hostel related issues
• Assisting the other hostel wardens in day to day operations as and when required
• Maintaining up to day hostel employees records and keeping the HR department informed whenever an employee leaves the hostel facilities
• Informing HR about the employees who are terminated but still occupying the hostel facilities
• Intimating HR about the employees who have left their belongings and left the hostel facility
• Responding to on-site emergencies during out of office hours
• Ensuring employees use the facilities provided judiciously and there is no wastage of water and electricity
• Monthly indents to be raised for items which are required to keep the hostels neat and clean
• Any other work/responsibility assigned by the HOD/Management in the course of business/work whether within the same unit/dept or any other unit/dept from time to time
