The Hospital Operations Manager will oversee all non-clinical and administrative functions of our 52-bedded unit. The primary objective is to streamline daily workflows, improve patient satisfaction, optimize resource utilization, and drive revenue growth. This role bridges the gap between clinical excellence and commercial viability, allowing our medical teams to focus entirely on patient care.

Responsibilities

Daily Operations & Administration

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities across all non-clinical departments, including Front Desk/Reception, TPA Desk, Nursing Admin, Pharmacy, Housekeeping, Security, and Maintenance.
• Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to minimize patient wait times in OPD and streamline the IPD discharge process.
• Oversee facility management, ensuring 100% uptime of critical infrastructure (power backups, oxygen supply, OT readiness, and biomedical waste management).

Financial Management & Growth

• Monitor daily cash flows, billing accuracy, and expense management to improve overall profitability.
• Drive growth in hospital footfalls by strengthening relationships with TPAs, corporate panels, and government healthcare schemes.
• Optimize inventory control in the in-house pharmacy and consumables store to reduce leakages and expire-on-shelf waste.

Team Leadership & Conflict Resolution

• Manage, mentor, and evaluate non-clinical staff, ensuring high standards of soft skills and patient-centric behavior.
• Act as the primary point of resolution for patient grievances, resolving issues swiftly and empathetically.
• Maintain a collaborative working relationship between visiting consultants, in-house doctors, and administrative staff.

Compliance & Quality

• Ensure strict compliance with all statutory healthcare regulations, local norms, licenses.
• Lead the hospital's quality initiatives, ensuring documentation and protocols align with NABH.
• Monitor and report hospital metrics (e.g., Bed Occupancy Rate, Average Length stay).
