Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an SCCM Infrastructure Engineer to architect, design, and implement complex SCCM solutions across multiple OS versions. The candidate will lead imaging, deployment and migration projects, and ensure robust SOE and process governance.

Strong scripting, AD, and networking skills are required. Responsibilities include building task sequences, managing SCCM/MDT/Altiris ecosystems, and coordinating with Office 365 and Azure/Intune areas.

Qualifications

• Experience in End User Computing domain and SCCM infrastructure management across multiple versions (v16xx; 17xx, 18xx).
• Ability to architect, design and implement complex SCCM infrastructure solutions including migrations and configurations.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 7/8/10 operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and define processes for SCCM and Imaging – service lines and functions.
• Lead Windows 10 migration and user data migration activities.
• Develop and maintain SOE (Standard Operating Environment) for Windows 10.
• Create and modify task sequences for SCCM deployments.
• Deploy and troubleshoot SCCM, MDT, and related imaging tools.
• Manage Onedrive and Office 365 integrations within the SCCM framework.
• Maintain Active Directory and Windows Server estates relevant to SCCM operations.
• Document image designs, test cases, and custom scripts for build processes.
• Stay updated on Azure, Intune, and related technologies as applicable.

• Knowledge in End User Computing Domain and Technologies including SCCM Infrastructure Management across various versions (v16xx; 17xx, 18xx).
• Able to Architect, Design and Implement complex solutions for SCCM Infrastructure (incl. Migrations, Green field, Configurations and Troubleshoot Sites, Roles, Client Policies and Components (including WSUS, SQL, etc).
• Strong knowledge in Win 7 / Win 8 / windows 10 Operating Systems
• Able to Design and Define Processes for SCCM and Imaging - Service lines and Functions.
• Strong knowledge in Windows 10 migration, user data migration and related technologies
• Strong knowledge in Windows 10 SOE and various methods of building and managing the SOE
• Strong knowledge in tools viz. MDT, SCCM, imageX, DISM, Altiris, etc.
• Strong knowledge in image build and test, troubleshooting skills, image modifications (driver / file injection etc.)
• Strong knowledge in task sequence creation and customization
• Strong knowledge in deployment tools viz. SCCM, MDT, Altiris etc.
• Expertise on Onedrive and Office 365
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Windows Servers
• Good understanding of networking concepts
• Good understanding of GPOs
• Good knowledge in VB scripting or PowerShell scripting

• Sound knowledge on processes for Software Distribution processes and toolsets (Applications/Packages/App-V packages/ ) and App Catalogues.
• Sound knowledge on Security Patch Management processes and custom reporting, 3rd Party Application patching, Vulnerability Management toolsets.
• Good knowledge on SQL and WMI queries, collections, user and device affinity, collections and compliance settings.
