Job summary

Tata Technologies in Bengaluru is seeking a design engineer to create and validate engine and powertrain components. You will generate 3D models, detailed drawings, and manufacturing documentation to support prototype development and product launches.

The role emphasizes GD&T applications, tolerance analysis, and design optimization with CAE/FEA interpretation. You will collaborate across Manufacturing, CAE, Testing, Quality, and Project Management to ensure successful engineering changes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design and develop engine and powertrain components using UG NX and/or Creo.
• Create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings with manufacturing documentation.
• Prepare and maintain BOMs and engineering documentation.
• Support prototype development, testing, and product launch activities.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, CAE, Testing, Quality, and Project Management.
• Participate in design reviews, DFMEA activities, and engineering change management.

Role & responsibilities

• Design and develop engine and powertrain components using UG NX and/or Creo.
• Create 3D models, assemblies, detailed drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
• Work on components such as Pistons, Cylinder Heads, Connecting Rods, Crankshafts, and Engine Assemblies.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and engineering specifications.
• Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and apply GD&T principles.
• Support design validation through CAE/FEA result interpretation and design optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, CAE, Testing, Quality, and Project Management.
• Participate in design reviews, DFMEA activities, and engineering change management.
• Prepare and maintain BOMs (Bill of Materials) and engineering documentation.
• Support prototype development, testing, and product launch activities.
