Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Interpret complex customer needs with Sales and develop innovative solutions delivering business and technical value.
• Communicate technical and business content to IT operations teams and C-level executives.
• Document current state, capture metrics, define the right BMC Helix solution, and build deliverables for Sales and other Solution Engineers.
• Deliver compelling presentations, demos and PoCs; leverage AI-assisted tools to create differentiated assets and accelerate development.
• Participate in global projects and continuous innovation through Helix bootcamp and related programs.

The Digital Solutions Engineering (DSE) team partners closely with Sales to capture customer requirements and articulate how BMC Helix’s unique capabilities deliver real business outcomes. This is a high‑impact, highly visible team that works with the most successful sales organizations across our global customer base.

Join us as a BMC Helix Associate Solution Engineer on our Digital Solutions Engineering Presales team! As an Associate Solution Engineer, you will work directly with Sales and Presales organizations to create strategy, timelines and deliverables that align customer initiatives to BMC Helix solutions — including our AIOps, ITSM and HelixGPT capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales teams to interpret often complex customer needs and develop innovative solutions delivering both business and technical value with BMC Helix.
• Simplify the communication of both technical and business content to a varied audience — from IT operations teams to C‑level executives.
• Actively partner with customers to document their current state, capture applicable metrics, assist in defining the right BMC Helix solution, and build deliverables for use by Sales and other Solution Engineers throughout the sales cycle.
• Deliver compelling presentations, demonstrations and proof of concepts that bring the BMC Helix platform to life for each customer’s specific context and goals.Leverage AI‑assisted tools — including large language models, prompt engineering and vibe coding approaches — to create differentiated demo assets, automate repetitive tasks and accelerate solution development.
• Participate in global projects, the Helix bootcamp enablement program and continuously challenge yourself and innovate every day.

Required Skills & Experience

• 1–2 years of experience in a presales, technical sales, consulting, IT support or related role (or equivalent hands‑on project experience).
• Familiarity with the ITSM/ITOM space is a plus; strong enablement programs are available.
• Practical understanding of AI and related technologies; comfortable working with large language models (LLMs), AI coding assistants, building prompts with LangChain or similar frameworks and applying generative AI tools to real‑world problems.
• Curiosity about how AI and automation are reshaping IT operations (AIOps, intelligent automation, predictive analytics, AI agents).
• Professional English proficiency required; additional languages (Spanish, French, Portuguese, German or others) may be required depending on region.
• Business‑aware, curious, everyday problem solver who turns ambiguous customer challenges into clear, compelling solution narratives.
• Excellent storytelling and communication skills that resonate with any audience.
