Job summary

Tata Electronics is seeking an experienced HVAC Lead to drive engineering from concept to commissioning at its India facilities. You will lead design, calculations, airflow modeling, equipment selection, and control strategies while ensuring compliance with industry standards and project goals.

You will mentor a team of HVAC engineers, coordinate cross-disciplinary work, review vendor submissions, and support procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning activities across multiple

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC engineering activities from concept design through commissioning support.
• Develop and review HVAC designs, load calculations, airflow modeling, equipment selection, ducting layouts, and control philosophies.
• Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, ISHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and local regulatory standards.
• Review engineering deliverables including calculations, technical specifications, P&IDs, equipment datasheets, and drawings.
• Support value engineering and optimization initiatives.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate HVAC engineering activities across multiple projects.
• Ensure project deliverables are completed within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including Electrical, Plumbing, Process, Architecture, and Automation teams.
• Participate in technical reviews, design meetings, and client discussions.
• Lead and mentor a team of HVAC engineers and designers.
• Provide technical guidance, training, and support to team members.
• Conduct design reviews and ensure adherence to engineering best practices.
• Support resource planning and talent development initiatives.
• Interface with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
• Lead technical discussions and presentations with customers.
• Review vendor quotations, technical submissions, and equipment selections.
• Support procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
