Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems using AutoCAD and Carrier HAP/TRACE.
• Perform load calculations to determine equipment sizing.
• Develop HVAC layouts, ductwork sizing, piping layouts, and equipment selection using AutoCAD.
• Select and specify HVAC equipment based on performance and efficiency.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other MEP professionals to integrate HVAC systems into building designs.
• Ensure designs comply with building codes, ASHRAE standards, and local regulations.
• Conduct site visits to assess existing systems and evaluate design feasibility.
• Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Review and approve HVAC system submittals, shop drawings, and change orders.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate with clients, contractors, and team members.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented HVAC Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for residential, commercial, or industrial buildings. This role involves creating and reviewing technical drawings, performing system calculations, ensuring compliance with codes and standards, and collaborating with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems using software tools such as AutoCAD and Carrier HAP/TRACE.
• Perform load calculations (heating, cooling, ventilation) to determine equipment sizing.
• Develop HVAC layouts, ductwork sizing, piping layouts, and equipment selection using AutoCAD.
• Select and specify HVAC equipment and components based on performance and efficiency.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other MEP professionals to integrate HVAC systems into overall building designs.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, ASHRAE standards, and local regulations.

Preferred Qualifications
