Job summary

DP World in Maharashtra, India, seeks an Operations Leader to drive end-to-end contract logistics and cold chain functions across multiple facilities. You will shape operational strategy, optimize inbound/outbound flows, implement WMS/ERP integrations, and lead regional warehouse teams to deliver on SLAs, cost efficiencies, and compliance standards.

Strong leadership, P&L ownership, and a track record of Lean/Six Sigma are expected, with emphasis on safety, quality, and digital transformation

Operational Leadership

• Lead end-to-end operations across multiple contract logistics and temperature-controlled warehouse facilities.
• Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Ensure efficient inbound, storage, inventory management, value-added services, and outbound operations.
• Drive warehouse productivity, service levels, and operational efficiency.
• Standardize operational processes across all facilities.

Cold Chain Management

• Ensure uninterrupted temperature integrity throughout storage and handling processes.
• Monitor compliance with cold chain standards and customer-specific requirements.
• Oversee refrigeration systems, temperature monitoring, contingency planning, and preventive maintenance.
• Minimize product losses through effective cold chain controls.

Customer Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
• Ensure achievement of contractual service level agreements (SLAs) and KPIs.
• Support business development teams during customer onboarding and solution design.
• Lead governance meetings and operational reviews with strategic customers.

Financial Management

• Own warehouse P&L for assigned operations.
• Develop annual operating budgets and monitor financial performance.
• Drive cost optimization initiatives while maintaining service quality.
• Improve productivity through automation, process optimization, and workforce planning.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with food safety, pharmaceutical, and regulatory requirements as applicable.
• Maintain compliance with GDP, GMP, HACCP, ISO standards, FSSAI, and customer quality standards where required.
• Drive a strong safety culture with zero-harm objectives.
• Lead internal and external audits.

Inventory & Warehouse Excellence

• Ensure high inventory accuracy through robust inventory control processes.
• Reduce inventory discrepancies, damages, and shrinkage.
• Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Implement best practices in warehouse layout, slotting, and space optimization.

Technology & Digital Transformation

• Lead implementation and optimization of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP integration, barcode/RFID technologies, and automation solutions.
• Utilize operational dashboards and analytics for performance management.
• Drive digital transformation initiatives across warehouse operations.

People Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop regional warehouse managers and functional leaders.
• Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
• Develop succession plans and leadership pipelines.
• Drive employee engagement and capability development.

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with transportation, procurement, engineering, quality, finance, HR, and commercial teams.
• Support strategic projects including network expansion and warehouse start-ups.
• Lead customer implementations and operational transitions.
