Job summary

Adani Power Ltd. is seeking a senior techno-commercial leader to drive fuel sourcing, procurement, and supply chain management for uninterrupted plant operations.

You will develop procurement strategies, negotiate with suppliers, and oversee coal quality, logistics, and inventory to optimize costs and ensure reliable power production. You will manage long- and short-term contracts, tenders, and commercial agreements, while coordinating with regulators, vendors, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in Techno-Commercial, Fuel Procurement, Coal Management, Purchase, or Supply Chain.
• Significant experience in Thermal Power Plants, Mining, Energy, or Infrastructure sectors.
• Proven record in coal procurement, fuel logistics, and commercial negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Techno-Commercial function for fuel sourcing, procurement, and supply chain management.
• Develop and implement fuel procurement strategies to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
• Drive commercial negotiations with suppliers, transporters, and service providers.
• Monitor coal quality, quantity, logistics, and inventory management.
• Manage long-term and short-term fuel contracts, tenders, and commercial agreements.
• Ensure optimization of fuel costs while maintaining quality and operational efficiency.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies, government agencies, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Analyze market trends, pricing mechanisms, and fuel availability to support business decisions.
• Lead budgeting, cost control, MIS reporting, and performance monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and statutory requirements.
• Mentor and develop techno-commercial teams across locations.

Education

• B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical/Mining) preferred.
• MBA (Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, or Marketing) will be an added advantage.

Experience

• 15–20+ years of experience in Techno-Commercial, Fuel Procurement, Coal Management, Purchase, or Supply Chain functions.
• Significant experience in Thermal Power Plants, Mining, Energy, or Infrastructure sectors.
• Proven track record of handling coal procurement, fuel logistics, and commercial negotiations.
