Job summary

Vedanta Aluminium Metal Limited, Jharsuguda (Odisha), invites applications for Head Sales Accounting Group- Finance. The role leads end-to-end sales accounting, ensures compliance with Ind AS and IFRS, and partners with Sales, Commercial, Taxation, and Business Finance teams.

The ideal candidate is CA with MBA in Finance, 7–8 years of relevant experience, and a track record in control, automation, and MIS.

Qualifications

• CA is essential; first-attempt CA preferred.
• MBA in Finance from a recognized institution is desirable.
• Minimum 60% marks in Class 10, Class 12, and Graduation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Sales Accounting Group and oversee end-to-end accounting operations, including revenue recognition, customer billing, collections, credit notes, and account reconciliation.
• Ensure accuracy, timely closure, and compliance of sales-related financial transactions in accordance with Ind AS, IFRS, taxation requirements, and organizational policies.
• Drive standardization, automation, and process improvement across sales accounting activities to enhance efficiency, control, and reporting accuracy.
• Oversee customer ledger management, receivables ageing, balance confirmations, and resolution of accounting discrepancies in coordination with Sales, Commercial, Taxation, and Business Finance teams.
• Strengthen internal controls and governance frameworks while ensuring readiness for statutory, internal, and regulatory audits.
• Prepare and review sales accounting MIS, revenue reports, and financial insights for senior management while leading and developing a high-performing accounting team.

Education Qualification | Work-Ex| Desired Attributes

• Chartered Accountant (CA) is essential; first-attempt CA preferred or MBA in Finance from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 60% marks in Class 10, Class 12, and Graduation. Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is essential;
• A maximum gap of one year is allowed either between Class 12 and Graduation or between Graduation and Post-Graduation.
• 7 -8 years of relevant experiencein business finance, financial planning and analysis, or divisional controlling roles.
