Job summary

Cygni Energy, headquartered in Hyderabad, India, seeks a Quality Head to lead the quality function for EV battery technologies. The role requires deep experience in automotive quality standards, CAPA processes, and QMS governance to sustain rapid growth.

You will drive audits, lead cross-functional teams, and partner with executive leadership to uphold stringent quality across Manufacturing, R&D, and Supply Chain. A strong leadership footprint and hands-on mindset are essential.

Responsibilities

• Align quality processes in lithium batteries to automotive standards.
• Lead internal audits across Manufacturing, Sales, R&D and Management.
• Drive non-conformities and CAPAs to closure.
• Chair monthly QA meetings and manage QA personnel.
• Maintain and improve the company QMS for rapid growth.
• Collaborate with production to draft acceptable quality standards.
• Develop testing and evaluation processes for quality control.
• Review QC documentation and report status to leadership and regulators.

Job Description:

• Aligning quality processes in Cygni’s Lithiumbatteries towards automotive standards (eg. IATF16949,APQP)
• Performing regular internal audits within Manufacturing, Sales, R&Dand Management, andensuring adherence to quality processes across alldepartments
• Driving resolution of non-conformitiesand CAPAs
• Leadingmonthly QA meetings.Training management of personnel.Maintaining Quality KPIs
• Acting as the main point of contact on all qualitymatters, internally and externally
• Continually developing and maintaining the company’s QMS system tosupport rapid growth
• Collaborates with management and senior staff across productiondepartments to draft acceptable quality standards.
• Develops and implements quality standard testing and evaluationprocesses.
• Reviews quality control documentation such as checklists, logs, andreports for effectiveness, accuracy, and relevance.
• Periodically reports status of quality control and operations to executiveleadership and, when required, regulatory agencies.

Education & Experience:

• You have B Tech/BE in Electrical/Electronic engineering or comparable study paths (M Tech would be even better!)
• Minimum Eight to 10 years of related experience required with at least five years as aquality manager or similar role highly preferred.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in both QA andproduction/R&D within theelectronics or automotive industry
• Excellent communication skills and a hands-on, can-do approach to quality
• Strong project management skills and ambitions toshape the company culture across departments
• Experience with bothsmall and large companies will be an advantage, as Cygni is intransition from a start-up company to being a part of a largecompany
• Thorough understanding of quality control standards and methodologies.
