Job summary

CNA is seeking an accomplished senior project leader to oversee the planning and delivery of multiple high-rise and large-scale development projects in Gurugram, India. You will drive execution from design concept to handover, coordinating between structural, architectural, MEP, facade and specialist contractors.

You will guide cost control, risk management, and value engineering while ensuring adherence to international standards, HSE, and quality.

Qualifications

• 25+ years of overall experience in civil engineering and construction/project delivery.
• Strong background in high-rise building construction and large-scale real estate development.
• Proven track record delivering complex projects from inception through completion.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and large portfolios.

Job description

Provide overall leadership for the planning and execution of multiple high-rise and large-scale development projects Drive projects from concept design development through construction commissioning and final handover Establish project execution strategies delivery frameworks milestones and performance benchmarks Ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets timelines and quality parameters Review construction methodologies sequencing resource planning and site execution strategies Identify project risks and develop timely mitigation and recovery plans Provide technical and strategic oversight of high-rise building construction including deep foundations basements RCC structures post-tensioning facades MEP services and finishing works Ensure effective coordination between structural architectural MEP facade and specialist contractors Drive construction productivity buildability and value engineering initiatives Ensure adherence to international standards and best practices in high-rise construction Oversee design development and ensure effective transition from design to construction Coordinate with architects structural consultants MEP consultants PMC teams and specialist consultants Review constructability design optimisation and value-engineering opportunities Ensure timely resolution of design-related issues impacting project delivery Provide oversight of major construction contracts consultants and specialist packages Work closely with procurement and commercial teams on tendering contractor selection and negotiations Monitor variations claims change orders and contractual risks Ensure effective cost control and adherence to approved project budgets Establish robust systems for planning scheduling cost control risk management and project reporting Monitor project progress against key milestones and identify potential delays at an early stage Ensure implementation of appropriate project controls MIS and reporting mechanisms Present project performance risks and recovery plans to the senior leadership Board Lead relationships with major contractors PMC organisations consultants and specialist agencies Drive contractor performance and accountability Establish strong governance and escalation mechanisms across projects Coordinate with statutory authorities and other external stakeholders as required Establish and enforce stringent quality-management and construction standards Ensure adherence to HSE requirements and internationally recognised safety practices Drive a zero-incident culture across project sites Promote sustainable construction practices and efficient utilisation of resources Lead a large multidisciplinary projects organisation comprising project directors project managers construction managers planning contracts QA QC HSE and engineering teams Build a high-performance project delivery culture with clear accountability and measurable KPIs Mentor and develop senior project leadership talent Establish organisational structures and manpower plans aligned with the project pipeline.

Qualifications

• 25+ years of overall experience in civil engineering and construction/project delivery.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Postgraduate qualifications in Construction Management/Project Management would be advantageous.
• Extensive experience in high-rise building construction and large-scale real estate development.
• Proven track record of independently delivering complex projects from inception through completion.
• Experience managing large project portfolios and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of RCC structures, foundations, basements, facades, MEP coordination, finishing and commissioning.
• Strong commercial understanding of contracts, procurement, cost management and contractor negotiations.
• Demonstrated expertise in project planning, controls, risk management and programme recovery.
• Experience working with leading international contractors, developers, consultants and PMC organisations.
• Strong understanding of international construction standards, HSE and quality-management systems.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder-management and communication skills.
• Ability to operate at both strategic leadership and project execution levels.
