Job summary

Michael Page in Bengaluru, India is seeking a senior project engineering leader to drive end-to-end execution of large multidisciplinary engineering projects from design through installation, commissioning and handover.

The role requires 15+ years of experience in mechanical, chemical, or related disciplines, with strong exposure to mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and civil systems, plus contractor management and customer delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering.
• 15+ years of experience leading project engineering and execution.
• Experience with multidisciplinary systems involving mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and civil engineering.
• Strong exposure to project planning, installation, commissioning, and customer delivery.
• Experience in cleanrooms, chemical delivery systems, gas delivery systems, pharma utilities, ASU, chemical systems, cleanroom infrastructure, semiconductor facilities, or similar process utility projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of large multidisciplinary engineering projects from design through installation, commissioning, and customer handover.
• Manage project planning, scheduling, manufacturing coordination, procurement, site execution, testing, validation, and commissioning.
• Ensure contractual, commercial, technical, quality, safety, and delivery commitments are achieved throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and site execution while managing customer stakeholders.
• Oversee integration of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, piping, and control systems across complex industrial installations.
• Drive project governance, resource planning, risk mitigation, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement across multiple projects.

Preferred candidate profile

A successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or a related Engineering discipline with 15+ years of experience leading project engineering and execution for complex industrial projects. The individual should have strong exposure to multidisciplinary systems involving mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and civil engineering, along with expertise in project planning, installation, commissioning, contractor management, and customer-facing project delivery. Experience in cleanrooms, chemical delivery systems, gas delivery systems, pharma utilities, air separation units (ASU), chemical systems, cleanroom infrastructure, semiconductor facilities, or similar process utility projects will be highly preferred.
