Job summary

Chalhoub Group’s Capability Hub seeks a senior Quality Engineering leader to own governance and automation across engineering squads in Bengaluru. You will define enterprise QA standards, manage release gates, and steer TestRail metrics, Selenium/Playwright automation, and UiPath-based RPA to improve delivery quality.

You will mentor QA engineers, drive AI-assisted defect analytics, and ensure hands-on testing across web, mobile, and retail integrations. A.remote-friendly future?

Qualifications

• Minimum 9 years of experience in quality engineering, test automation, and QA leadership, including defining quality standards and managing release quality gates.
• Strong command of QA standards, QA methodologies, release management, and defect analytics, with hands‑on experience using tools such as TestRail.
• Expertise in test automation frameworks (Selenium/ Playwright), automated regression, and CI/CD testing, with experience leading RPA delivery (UiPath).
• Proven experience leading and mentoring QA and automation engineers and driving continuous improvement in delivery quality.
• Experience supporting quality governance in ecommerce or retail technology environments with complex integrations, releases, and cutovers; familiarity with AIassisted defect analytics.
• Knowledge of Retail and Digital space. Previous experience with Web, Mobile and Retail oriented Quality Assurance.

Responsibilities

• Own the Quality Governance and Automation capability, defining enterprise quality standards, managing release quality gates, and leading test automation and robotic process automation (RPA) to continuously improve delivery quality and operational efficiency across engineering squads.
• Define and own enterprise quality standards and QA methodologies across engineering squads, ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery.
• Manage release quality gates, governing entry and exit criteria so releases meet defined quality and business requirements before go-live.
• Track and analyze defect metrics and quality analytics using tools such as TestRail to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
• Own test automation strategy, building and governing automated regression and CI/CD testing frameworks (Selenium / Playwright) to enable shift-left testing and continuous delivery.
• Lead the Automation capability, directing the RPA engineers (UiPath) who automate finance, logistics, and HR workflows, and governing bot reliability, error handling, and process digitization standards.
• Own UAT readiness, quality sign-off, and post-release defect triage for major launches, ensuring clear entry and exit criteria for business and technical stakeholders.
• Lead the adoption of AI in QA and RPA, introducing agentic testing and AI-powered workflows to improve testing and automation.
• Lead and develop the quality and automation squad, setting technical direction, mentoring engineers, and building QA, test automation, and RPA capability.
• Report quality posture, release risk, and defect trends to engineering leadership, and drive continuous improvement incorporating AI-assisted defect analytics and predictive quality insights.
• Remain hands-on: plan, design, execute, and document functional, integration, end-to end, and regression testing, and organize testing across multiple integrated systems for assigned scope.
