Job summary

Chalhoub Group is seeking a senior Quality Engineering leader in Bengaluru to own enterprise QA standards, release gates, and defect analytics across engineering teams. You will drive quality metrics, define governance, and mentor a growing QA team to ensure top-tier delivery.

The role emphasizes early quality integration in the SDLC, data-driven decisions, and leadership collaboration with product and engineering stakeholders to achieve robust release readiness.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in quality engineering and QA, with release governance experience.
• Proficient in QA standards, methodologies, release analytics and defect tracking.
• Experience mentoring QA engineers and driving delivery quality improvements.
• Ability to report metrics to leadership and support data-driven decisions.
• Experience in ecommerce/retail tech with complex integrations and releases.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted defect analytics and predictive quality insights.

Responsibilities

• Define and own enterprise quality standards and QA methodologies across engineering teams.

• Drive continuous improvement of QA processes, including AI analytics.
• Plan, design, execute, and document functional, integration, end-to-end, and regression tests.

What you'll be doing

Own the Quality Governance capability, defining enterprise quality standards, managing release quality gates, and tracking defect metrics to continuously improve delivery quality across engineering teams.

• Define and own enterprise quality standards and QA methodologies across engineering teams, ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery.

• Manage release quality gates, governing entry and exit criteria so releases meet defined quality and business requirements before go-live.

• Track and analyze defect metrics and quality analytics using tools such as TestRail to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.

• Own release management from a quality perspective, ensuring quality sign-off and release readiness across releases.

• Own UAT readiness, quality sign-off, and post-release defect triage for major launches, ensuring business and technical stakeholders have clear entry and exit criteria.

• Lead and develop the QA team, set technical direction, mentoring engineers, and building QA capability.

• Report quality posture, release risk, and defect trends to engineering leadership through concise dashboards and agreed improvement actions.

• Partner with engineering and product teams to embed quality practices early in the SDLC and report on quality posture to leadership.

• Drive continuous improvement of QA processes, incorporating AI-assisted defect analytics and predictive quality insights to prioritize testing effort.

• Plan, design, execute, and document functional, integration, end-to-end, and regression testing for assigned scope.

What you’ll need to succeed

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in quality engineering and QA, including defining quality standards and managing release quality gates.

• Strong command of QA standards, QA methodologies, release management, and defect analytics, with hands-on experience using tools such as TestRail.

• Proven experience leading or mentoring QA engineers and driving continuous improvement in delivery quality.

• Understanding quality metrics and reporting to support data-driven quality decisions.

• Experience supporting quality governance in ecommerce or retail technology environments with complex integrations, releases, and business cutovers

• Familiarity with AI-assisted defect analytics and predictive quality insights to enhance testing effectiveness.

• Experience with organizing testing for multiple integrated systems
