SV Management Consultants seeks a Head – Operations to lead end-to-end manufacturing at an automotive gears and 5C components facility. You will drive operational excellence, productivity, quality, cost competitiveness and on-time delivery, building a culture of continuous improvement.

The role requires 15–25 years in automotive engine components, with hands-on machining knowledge and experience in CNC turning, VMC, gear processes, and heat treatment.

Qualifications

• 15–25 years of experience in Automotive Engine components & Gear Manufacturing.
• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven track record in productivity improvement, cost optimization, quality enhancement and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end plant operations: Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Materials and Process Improvement.
• Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with business growth and profitability.
• Drive OEE, productivity, capacity utilization and cost reduction across manufacturing operations.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead process optimization, automation, cycle-time reduction, waste elimination and technology upgradation.

Head – Operations | Automotive Parts Manufacturing. (Gears & 5C Components)

Role Overview

We are looking for an accomplished Head – Operations to lead end-to-end manufacturing operations at a high-performance Automotive Gears & 5C Engine Components Manufacturing facility. The role will drive operational excellence, productivity, quality, cost competitiveness, capacity utilization and customer delivery, while building a culture of continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end plant operations covering Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Materials and Process Improvement.
• Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with business growth, customer expectations and profitability.
• Drive OEE, productivity, capacity utilization, manpower optimization and cost reduction across manufacturing operations.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead initiatives for process optimization, automation, cycle-time reduction, waste elimination and technology upgradation.
• Ensure effective production planning, capacity planning, resource utilization and on-time delivery.
• Establish and monitor critical KPIs covering OEE, rejection, rework, downtime, productivity, delivery and manufacturing cost.
• Partner with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, HR and Finance to achieve plant and business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, customer and statutory requirements.
• Build a strong performance-driven team through leadership development, capability building and employee engagement.
• Drive NPI, process validation, capacity enhancement and manufacturing system improvements.

Ideal Candidate

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
• 15–25 years of experience in Automotive Engine components & Gear Manufacturing, with substantial plant operations leadership experience.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Machining process for Cy. Block, Cy Head, Crank shaft, Cam Shaft and connecting Rod.
• Good experience of CNC Turning, VMC, Gear Hobbing, Gear Shaping, Broaching, Gear Grinding and Heat Treatment.
• Proven track record in productivity improvement, cost optimization, quality enhancement and operational excellence.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, problem-solving and cross-functional management capabilities.
• Experience with Automotive OEM / Tier-1 customers preferred.
