Job summary

BVR People Consulting seeks a Head of Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) to lead India operations from Chennai and Bengaluru, overseeing real estate strategy, facility services, security, and vendor governance. The role demands 10+ years in IFM within large corporate or manufacturing environments and a Bachelor's in Engineering; an MBA is preferred.

You will drive safety culture, compliance, and cost optimization while reporting to leadership.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in integrated facilities management (IFM) in large corporate, industrial, or manufacturing settings.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics); MBA/PGDM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy Real Estate & Facility Management Strategy for India in line with Global Real Estate Strategy.
• Lead a diverse team across Facility Management, Security and External IFM services.
• Oversee day-to-day soft and hard facility services including housekeeping, security, transport, canteen, pest control and administration.
• Manage critical infrastructure like HVAC, electrical systems, DG sets, water treatment, compressed air and fire protection to ensure high uptime.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, Fire & Life Safety, labor laws and Factory Act.
• Lead vendor management, monitor SLAs/KPIs, conduct audits, and drive service improvements.
• Prepare MIS reports and executive dashboards for leadership.

Role Overview & Purpose

• Purpose: Ensure safe, compliant, efficient, and cost-effective facility operations while driving business continuity.
• Experience Required: 10 to 15 years of experience in IFM, large corporate settings, or industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Education: Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics); an MBA or PGDM is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, own and deploy the Real Estate & Facility Management Strategy for India, including GSC, in line with the Global Real Estate Strategy and GSC Sustainability priorities.
• Lead a diverse team covering Facility Management, Security and External Integrated Facility Management (IFM) services.
• Build and implement a comprehensive Real Estate Facility Management Strategy for India.
• Drive IFM performance indicators, KPIs/KRAs and operational targets in line with regional and global expectations.
• Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day soft and hard facility services, including housekeeping, security, transport, canteen services, pest control, horticulture, and office administration.
• Utility Oversight: Manage critical infrastructure such as HVAC, electrical systems, DG sets, water treatment (STP/WTP), compressed air, and fire protection systems to guarantee high operational uptime.
• Compliance & Safety: Maintain strict statutory compliance with EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety), Fire & Life Safety, labor laws, and the Factory Act.
• Vendor & Contract Governance: Lead vendor management, monitor SLAs and KPIs, conduct audits, and execute continuous service improvements.
• Financial & Resource Management: Handle operating expense budgets, cost optimization, energy conservation initiatives, and capital project support.
• Leadership & Reporting: Lead in-house teams and outsourced partners, foster a strong safety culture, and prepare MIS reports and executive dashboards for leadership.
