Job summary

The Corporate Institute in Pune is seeking a Head Credit (Retail & Corporate) with 10-12 years of experience in banking/NBFC. You will oversee underwriting for home loans, LAP, and other retail products, ensuring robust credit checks and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• MBA (Finance), CA, ICWA or CFA qualifications are preferred.
• Experience in credit analysis and underwriting for retail and mortgage products is essential.

Responsibilities

• Analysing/underwriting of Home Loan, LAP, Lease Rental Discounting and other retail products.
• Due Diligence / Credit checks / Credit analysis per policy.
• Coordination with the Business department for loan processing through disbursement.
• Developing and managing relationships with DSAs, connectors, Chartered Accountants, and other financial consultants.
• Responsible for maintaining a good loan portfolio for Mortgage business in the region.
• Site visits of properties to be mortgaged and residences of borrowers; ensure due diligence and KYC.
• Ensuring proper documentation and disbursement of retail loans; follow-up and clearance of PDD.
• Thorough knowledge of various Retail Banking products.
• Understand and filter cases for approval to the appropriate level.

The role description is mentioned below:

– Analysing/underwriting of Home Loan, Loan against Property, Lease Rental Discounting, and any other retail products offered by the bank.

– Due Diligence / Credit Checks / Credit analysis, Credit assessment of the loan, as per credit policy.

– Coordination with the Business department for processing of loan till final disbursement.

– Developing, maintaining and managing relationships with business generators like DSAs, Connectors, Chartered Accountants, and other financial consultants.

– Responsible for maintaining a good loan portfolio for the Mortgage business in the region

– Undertaking site visits of properties to be mortgaged and residences of borrowers, as well ensure due diligence and KYC of borrowers.

– Ensuring proper documentation and Disbursement of retail Loans, following up and Clearing PDD

– Understanding the intricacies of various cases and filtering them so that only appropriate cases are put up for approval.
