Job summary

Hireginie Talent Cloud is seeking a Branch Credit Manager in Partur to lead end-to-end credit operations for retail/ MSME loan portfolios, ensuring quality underwriting and adherence to RBI guidelines. The role includes field verification, legal/technical assessment, and managing a branch credit team.

The candidate will oversee credit appraisals, risk ratings, and portfolio monitoring, while coordinating with Sales, Operations and Collections to ensure smooth processing and timely sanctions.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience in credit underwriting / appraisal in NBFCs or banks.
• Strong analytical & credit assessment skills including ratio analysis and DSCR.
• In-depth knowledge of RBI Master Directions, credit policy and risk management.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to work under pressure and meet TATs.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end credit appraisal, verification, and sanctioning across retail, MSME, vehicle, personal, and business loans within delegated authority.
• Review proposals prepared by credit officers, perform financial analysis, cash-flow assessment, and risk rating.
• Conduct Personal Discussion and CAM analysis; verify documents for loan eligibility.
• Monitor branch credit portfolio performance, NPAs, and collection efficiency; ensure compliance with KYC, AML and RBI rules.
• Mentor branch credit team; conduct performance reviews and training; coordinate with branches and collections for timely processing.

About the role: The role involves leading branch-level credit operations, ensuring quality underwriting, timely sanctions, and healthy portfolio performance across retail/MSME and other lending products. The position requires handling credit appraisal, financial analysis, CAM, PD, field verification, and property/legal/technical assessment. It also involves managing the credit team, monitoring NPAs, ensuring RBI and internal policy compliance, and coordinating with Sales, Operations and Collections for smooth loan processing.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end credit appraisal, verification, and sanctioning of retail / MSME / vehicle / personal / business loans up to the delegated authority.
• Review credit proposals prepared by credit officers, conduct financial analysis, cash-flow assessment, and risk rating.
• Conduct Personal Discussion and Evaluation and prepare the CAM and analyse the documents to check the loan eligibility of the customer.
• Monitor branch credit portfolio performance early warning signals, NPA movement, and collection efficiency.
• Ensure 100% compliance with KYC, AML, RBI Fair Practices Code, and internal credit policy.
• Conduct field visits for credit proposals.
• Manage and mentor branch credit team (Credit Officers / Assistants); conduct performance reviews and training.
• Coordinate with Branch Manager, Operations, and Collections teams for seamless loan processing and post-disbursal monitoring.
• Inform the sales team about the pendency (if any) in the logged file.
• Do internal legal validation and property valuation and prepare internal property valuation report and legal report and verify the technical and legal aspects of the property.
• Inform Branch Manager in case of any delay/lapse from field officer in completing the file.
• Coordinate with external technical and legal vendors for getting reports on time and verify the same.
• Maintain accurate credit documentation and audit-ready records.
• Achieve branch credit disbursement and quality targets without compromising risk standards.
• Escalate deviations / exceptions as per policy and participate in branch credit committee meetings.

Requirements:

• 7-10 years of relevant experience in credit underwriting / appraisal in NBFC / Banks.
• Minimum 2 years in a team-handling / leadership role at branch level.
• Strong analytical & credit assessment skills (ratio analysis, DSCR, financial statements).
• In-depth knowledge of RBI Master Directions, credit policy & risk management.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, credit scoring tools & LOS / LMS systems.
• Excellent communication, leadership and decision-making skills.
• Ability to handle pressure and meet stringent TATs.
