Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the contracts and commercial function for residential construction projects
• Draft, review, and manage contracts, subcontracts, and vendor agreements
• Drive contractual negotiations with contractors, vendors, and consultants
• Ensure adherence to contractual terms, risk mitigation, and legal compliance
• Collaborate with procurement and project teams for tendering and bid evaluation
• Oversee preparation and finalization of BOQs, rate analysis, and cost benchmarking
• Monitor contract performance, variations, claims, and dispute resolution
• Manage change orders, cost variations, and escalation claims effectivelyProvide inputs on budget control and cost optimization strategies
• Liaise with legal teams on contractual risks and dispute management
• Establish and standardize contract management processes and documentation
• Lead and mentor the contracts team across multiple projects

Key Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory)
• Postgraduate qualification in Construction Management / Contracts / Quantity Surveying is an added advantage
• 18+ years of experience in contracts management within real estate / construction
• Strong exposure to residential projects (mandatory)
• Expertise in contract drafting, FIDIC/standard contracts, claims & dispute resolution
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Experience in handling large-scale, multi-project environments
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership capabilities
