Job summary

HLE Glascoat Limited in Anand, Gujarat, India seeks a Deputy Manager/Manager with 15–20 years of heavy equipment manufacturing experience to lead assembly, testing, painting, FAT, packing and dispatch end-to-end, while protecting glass-lined surfaces.

You will own the Master Production Plan (MPP) and drive weekly rolling plans, capacity optimization, and delivery discipline; oversee QC, cost, delivery improvements, and cross-function teams; SAP/ERP proficiency essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead assembly, testing, painting, FAT, packing and dispatch end-to-end; protect glass-lined surfaces.
• Own the Master Production Plan (MPP); align customer priorities, material availability, capacity, FAT commitments and shipment schedules.
• Govern weekly rolling plans and delivery-commitment discipline; optimize resources and support PPC on scheduling.
• Drive measurable improvements in QCD, productivity and customer satisfaction across all stages of production.
• Define roles and responsibility frameworks; drive PDCA-based governance, safety, quality and delivery metrics.

1. Business Goal Ownership

• Deliver against KPIs, KRAs, Focus Area Sheets
• Strengthen systems, processes, governance and compliance through gap analysis and PDCA-based closure of action plans.
• Drive Daily Work Management across Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale, Environment and Excellence (SQCME).

2. Equipment Finalisation Value Chain

• Own assembly, testing, painting, FAT, packing and dispatch end-to-end; continuously improve methods, unlock capacity, and remove bottlenecks.
• Special responsibility for protecting glass-lined surfaces at every stage of handling and processing.

3. Production Planning & Delivery

• Execute the Master Production Plan (MPP); align customer priorities, material availability, capacity, FAT commitments and shipment schedules.
• Govern weekly rolling plans and delivery-commitment discipline; optimize resources and support PPC on scheduling.
• Assess delivery risk early and drive recovery plans to closure; ensure 3-day material availability checks.
• Drive order prioritization and monthly rolling plans (M, M+1, M+2); maintain 6-month rolling S&OP visibility and act on capacity gaps proactively.

4. Quality, Cost & Delivery Improvement

• Drive measurable improvements in QCD, productivity and customer satisfaction across assembly, FAT, painting, packing and dispatch, with documented before/after impact.
• Ensure adherence to equipment, painting and packing specifications, including dimensional, leak/pressure, functional testing and glass-lining protection protocols.

5. Team Performance Management

• Define roles and responsibilities for all direct reports; set daily/weekly/monthly performance parameters.
• Conduct performance reviews using PDCA-
• Safety: Zero LTA
• Quality: FTR %, FAT First-Time Acceptance %, rework/scrap/transit damage reduction, NCR/DPT reduction, COPQ
• Delivery: On-Time Delivery, On-Time FAT, MPS adherence, MO/WO ageing
• Productivity/Finance: OEE, Revenue/Person, Revenue/Sq. Mtr., Labour Productivity, Overtime reduction, cost per job/equipment
• Inventory/Space: WIP within norms, inventory turnover, 5S score, space utilization
• People: Competency mapping %, multi-skilling %, Kaizen projects completed

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Strong background in heavy equipment/process equipment manufacturing, with assembly, testing, painting and dispatch operations exposure similar to our process .
• Proven experience managing FAT, glass-lined equipment handling, and QRQC/PDCA-driven quality systems.
• Track record in production planning (MPP/S&OP), team leadership and driving measurable QCD improvements.
• ERP/SAP proficiency.
