This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Guest Service Associate (F&B Service) based in India.

This role is responsible for delivering warm, professional, and efficient guest service across food and beverage operations. You will welcome guests, respond to requests, manage orders, and help ensure every interaction meets high hospitality standards. The position combines hands-on service with coordination across departments to support smooth daily operations. You will also contribute to sales by developing strong product knowledge and confidently promoting available facilities and menu offerings. Attention to detail is essential when managing tables, guest accounts, equipment, room-related requests, and operational standards. Accountabilities

• Welcome guests warmly and professionally, following established service standards and creating a positive first impression.
• Respond promptly and efficiently to guest questions, complaints, requests, and inquiries related to food and beverage services.
• Set up operating equipment before service and inspect linen, condiments, and other service essentials to ensure readiness.
• Maintain strong knowledge of all menu items, including dishes and special offerings, to provide accurate information and recommendations.
• Take guest orders when required, communicate menu specials, and ensure guest and hotel account charges are accurate and posted on time.
• Clear used chinaware, glassware, and silverware efficiently and reset tables to maintain smooth service for arriving guests.
• Identify opportunities to promote hotel facilities and increase sales through strong product knowledge and effective selling techniques.
• Coordinate closely with other departments to support productivity, cooperation, team morale, and consistently high guest service.
• Handle guest luggage courteously and efficiently and support room allocation and inventory requirements based on guest needs.
• Maintain familiarity with the property layout, including fire exits, elevators, and other important guest and safety areas.
• Monitor equipment and operational conditions, promptly reporting malfunctions, emergencies, hazardous situations, or suspicious activity to management.
• Help minimize breakage, pilferage, spoilage, and unnecessary resource consumption while promoting cost-effective use of operational resources.
• Follow all applicable occupational health and safety requirements, including established procedures, training, safe work practices, and reasonable management instructions.
• Take on additional responsibilities or temporary assignments as required to support smooth departmental operations.

Requirements

• Diploma or graduate qualification in hospitality, hotel management, food and beverage service, or a related field.
• Strong customer-service orientation with the ability to interact with guests in a professional, warm, helpful, and friendly manner.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service practices, including table setup, order taking, clearing, resetting, and guest account handling.
• Good knowledge of menu items and the ability to confidently explain dishes, recommend options, and communicate special offerings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with guests, colleagues, and other departments.
• Ability to handle guest complaints, requests, and inquiries calmly while working toward timely and satisfactory resolutions.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail when managing service equipment, guest accounts, room-related information, and operational requirements.
• Ability to identify sales opportunities and use product knowledge and service skills to support revenue generation.
• Awareness of workplace health and safety practices, emergency procedures, and responsible handling of operational equipment.
• Flexible and dependable approach, with willingness to take on additional duties and adapt to changing operational requirements.
