Job summary

Pinkerton Consulting & Investigations, Inc. seeks a Supervisor to lead shift activities in the client’s alarm monitoring center.

You will supervise up to ten Operators, ensure staffing with qualified personnel, and maintain operations in line with established policies. You will develop and train the control room team, coordinate with client security personnel, and manage emergencies, incident response, and crisis communications.

Qualifications

• Graduate with at least five years of security experience including supervision of a command center or dispatch capacity.
• Proficient with security systems: access control, CCTV, badging, and alarm monitoring.
• StrongInstructional, written and verbal communication skills.
• Research and data analysis skills.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful work environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day activities of assigned shifts in the client's alarm monitoring center.
• Supervise up to ten Operators and ensure staffing with qualified personnel.
• Maintain situational awareness of events affecting safety and operations globally.
• Draft and send emergency notifications and crisis communications.
• Oversee field personnel response to emergencies and incidents.
• Assist in developing and revising security center processes and systems.
• Identify and resolve nuisance or trouble alarms and coordinate with operations.
• Provide backup support and on-call as needed.
• Support quality control and oversee production, staffing, and processes with the Ops Manager.
• Contribute to capabilities in operations and intelligence/analytics areas.
• Supervise maintenance and deployment of knowledge dashboards.
• Identify process improvements with Ops Manager.
• Represent the team in client meetings and coordinate with client personnel.
• Triage and manage incidents of workplace violence or misconduct.
• Develop and execute operator training and drills for control room functions.

The Supervisor will lead the day to day activities of assigned shifts in the client's alarm monitoring center. This position is responsible for line-level supervision of up to ten Operators, ensures that all positions are staffed with qualified personnel, and that all operations are conducted in line with established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Represent Pinkerton’s core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
• Receiveshift pass down information and conductshift briefings to provide updates, assignments, training, and uniform compliance.
• Maintainsituational awareness of natural and man-made events that may compromise the safety and security of personnel, business operations, and infrastructure for client locations globally.
• Draftand sendemergency mass notifications and other crisis communications.
• Ensurethat field personnel respond to all emergencies: medical, fire, hazardous materials, natural disasters, and accidents.
• Assistthe client's security personnel with the development and/or revision of security operation center processes, protocols, and systems.
• Identifyand routesecurity for resolution of any nuisance or trouble physical securityalarms.
• Provides back-up, support and on-call function, as needed.
• Overseequality control and oversight for all production, support, and staffing functions in conjunction with the Operations Manager.
• Directlyassistin developing and maturing the capabilities including support for operations and the intelligence/analytics areas.
• Supervise the maintenance and deployment of a knowledge management dashboard.
• Partner with the Operations Manager to identify process and quality improvements.
• Represent the teamin meetings with client personnel.
• Triage and manage incidents of workplace violence or other associate misconduct.
• Developand executetraining for the operators in all control room functions and conducttraining exercises with the field leadership team.
• All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Graduate with at least five years of security experience including supervision of a command center or dispatch capacity.

• Working knowledge of security systems including access control, CCTV systems, badging systems, and alarm monitoring systems.
