Job summary

Pinkerton is seeking a GSOC Specialist in Bengaluru to monitor security incidents, manage communications during emergencies, and safeguard personnel and assets. This role requires sharp attention to detail and quick decision-making in a fast-paced environment.

The position involves monitoring world events, badge usage, visitor control, reporting, training, and collaboration with security teams. It offers growth within a global risk management leader.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Certification in security or related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a security operations center or similar environment is an advantage.
  • Work experience of 2-4 years and 4-8 years is required for GSOC Operator & GSOC Senior Operator respectively.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Pinkerton’s core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  • Conduct regular monitoring of world events through open-source intelligence, social media platforms, and client-specific intelligence gathering tools to identify potential threats to employees, company assets, and reputation.
  • Monitor badge usage for irregularities or potential security breaches.
  • Register and monitor visitors to ensure authorization and escorting as required
  • Escalate incidents related to employee welfare, global incidents, operational issues, and critical situations to security management.
  • Maintain detailed logs of incidents and actions taken.
  • Operate and monitor security systems including CCTV cameras, alarms, and related equipment.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans.
  • Develop training programs for new operators to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on badging, consumables, shipment activities, security system performance, access control activities, and project progress.
  • Provide support during crisis situations by disseminating information and coordinating responses.
  • Conduct regular system checks to ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
  • Liaise with external agencies during major incidents or emergencies as needed.
  • Support various internal and external auditing requirements by providing necessary documentation.
  • All other duties, as assigned.
