Job summary

Morris Garages India is seeking a seasoned QA professional in Gujarat to lead safety and process compliance on the assembly line, drive Kaizens, and mentor Junior Engineers Associates.

You will review JES, SOP, PPSR, and ensure implementation of MGPS requirements, manage LA audits, and deliver daily quality updates with the CFT.

Qualifications

  • BE/BTech degree preferred or required.
  • 5–10 years of experience in Automobile OEM industry.
  • Sound knowledge of cars and assembly process TCF line inspection.
  • Excellent speaking and writing ability; English proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain safety awareness among Junior Engineers Associates.
  • Support engineers in closure of safety issues and SOT Observations.
  • Identify training needs and monitor skill matrix; track TNI vs Plan/Actual.
  • Encourage Kaizens and improvements by engineers associates.
  • Ensure implementation of all quality standards requirements.
  • Review JES, SOS, SOP, KYT, STS, TIS, PPSR.
  • Review tool/equipment/ facility requirements and calibration monthly.
  • Conduct layered audits and close open points with improvements.
  • Drive to resolve TCF CARE Line Quality issues.
  • Lead 5F CFT team daily to address issues.
  • Participate in PQA daily and ensure actions for recurring issues.
  • Lead one problem solving activity per month.
  • Lead new launch readiness per glide path.
  • Ensure MGPS requirements on shop floors.
  • Monitor and control factory supplies and rejection costs with Engineer.
  • Prepare daily quality update reports with CFT.
  • Support motivational activities and competitions.
  • Review yard PDI issues with team and act on defects.
  • Prepare yard PDI report for QRM.

Job description

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain safety awareness in Junior Engineers Associates.
  • Support Engineers in closure of safety issues and SOT Observations.
  • Identify training needs, Review Skill matrix on timely Basis. Monitoring and Achieving Plan Vs. Actual TNI.
  • Encourage Engineers Associates to identify and execute Kaizens and improvements.
  • Ensure effective implementation of all the quality standard requirements.
  • Review JES, SOS, SOP, KYT, STS, TIS, PPSR.
  • Review tool, equipment or facility requirement and calibration and follow up for the same on monthly basis.
  • Conduct layered audits as per schedule and ensure closer of open points and improvement based on LA. Check LA done by Engineers and guide for improvements.
  • Drive to resolve TCF CARE Line Quality issues
  • Lead 5F CFT team to drive for issues on daily basis.
  • Participate in PQA on daily basis and ensure actions for the repeated issue. Review yellow card filled by Engineers.
  • Lead one problem solving activity per month.
  • Lead new launch readiness as per launch glide path.
  • Ensure Implementation of MGPS Requirements on shop floors.
  • Monitor and control factory supplies and rejection costs in the Group with Engineer.
  • Prepare Daily report of Quality update in coordination with CFT.
  • Support Various Motivational Activities, Competitions.
  • Daily review of yard PDI issues with team and take actions for defect observed.
  • Prepare yard PDI report for QRM.
Authority
  • Leave approval of associates and engineers.
  • PPSR raising to concerned agency.
  • Alarm escalation to concerned department.
  • Rejection/Approval of EWO or PTR changes.
Educational qualifications preferred
  • Degree: BE/BTech
Required work experience
  • Industry: Automobile OEM
