Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E/B.Tech with extensive plant experience.
• Proven leadership of shift teams in manufacturing.
• Experience implementing safety and quality programs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor operational KPIs (safety, quality, headcount, efficiency).
• Plan and execute strategies to hit targets set by leadership.
• Ensure production readiness: labor, materials, equipment, inventory.
• Conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions.
• Lead problem solving for accidents and customer complaints.
• Ensure compliance with tools and practices (5S, Std Work, etc.).
• Identify training needs and coach Team Leaders.
• Manage budget, staffing and absenteeism; cover for absent peers.

Key Accountabilities

• Monitor operational KPIs Compliance (safety, quality, headcount, jobs per hour, performance rate (PR), operational availability (OA)).
• Plan and execute defined strategies to achieve targets set in GL Board.
• Ensure conditions for production are in place including labor, materials, supplies and equipment (line side inventory, staffing, absenteeism, etc.).
• Conduct safety audits, 5S, safety walk, SOS cards, SOA cards, Std work , etc..
• Execute and support the analysis of recordable accidents and confirm the implementation of corrective and preventive actions using problem solving methodology.
• Execute and support the analysis of customer complaints and confirm the implementation of corrective and preventive actions using problem solving methodology.
• Ensure compliance of defined tools and practices such as: Machine Care, Standard Work, Poka-Yoke management, JQM, etc.
• Identify training needs and make plan to close gaps Assign work to Team Leader and supervise their performance.
• Train TL to conduct OJT, Job rotation & Plan Vs actual. Confirm skill matrix are getting updated.
• Temporal coverage
• Covers the role of another GL during absences.
• Participate in the Operating Way meetings that applied to your position. Incidental Work
• Control the budget of the cost center.
• Manage staffing over time and absenteeism.
• Understand, comprehend, and apply the Stop, Call & Wait, ANDON and/or the applicable escalation process.
• Ensure compliance with product requirements. (built-in quality culture: dont generate, dont receive, dont send).

Academic & Experience

Diploma/B.E/B. Tech Proven (+8 years) in operational activity and handling team into shifts.
