Job summary

Azure Power invites graduates to join as Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) in Project Development. You will support solar, wind and hybrid renewable energy projects from site identification to readiness, assisting in land, connectivity, and statutory approvals.

You will build skills in project tracking, data analysis, stakeholder coordination, and policy understanding across RE states while working with internal teams and external consultants.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Law or B.Tech./B.E. in a relevant Engineering discipline.
• 0-2 years of experience; fresh graduates may also be considered.
• Willingness and ability to understand Renewable Energy policies and regulations across different states.
• Knowledge of Renewable Energy, GIS/Google Earth and MS Excel/PowerPoint will be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying and evaluating potential project sites based on resource potential, land availability and development constraints.
• Assist in evaluating power evacuation options, processing connectivity applications, and tracking the status and progress of connectivity applications.
• Support statutory approvals and coordination with government authorities and other stakeholders.
• Conduct preliminary assessments of land, environmental, forest, wildlife, terrain and other project-related constraints.
• Develop an understanding of Renewable Energy policies, regulations and procedures across various RE states and assess their implications for project development.
• Prepare and maintain project trackers, competition tracking databases, MIS, development databases, presentations, and periodic project development reports.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants/agencies.
