Job summary

Konecranes is seeking a Production Planning professional to prepare and manage production plans, ensuring timely material availability and smooth flow. The role requires coordinating with procurement, engineering, quality, and stores to meet delivery commitments while optimizing capacity and inventory.

Fresh graduates with BE Mechanical or BE Electrical and 0–1 year experience are welcomed. ISO/compliance awareness and ERP/MRP proficiency are preferred, with opportunities to grow in a leading

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage production plans and schedules to meet delivery commitments.
• Coordinate with procurement, production, stores, engineering, and quality teams for material availability.
• Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
• Perform material and capacity planning using ERP/MRP systems; maintain inventory levels.
• Analyze capacity, material flow, and resource utilization to improve productivity.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and Takt time adherence.

Role and Responsibility

• Prepare and manage production plans and schedules to meet customer delivery commitments.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Production, Stores, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure timely material availability and smooth production flow.
• Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to achieve production targets.
• Perform material and capacity planning using ERP/MRP systems while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
• Analyze machine, manpower, and resource capacity.
• Monitor raw material, WIP (Work-in-Progress), and finished goods inventory
• Track production KPIs, prepare planning reports, and drive continuous process improvements to enhance productivity and on-time delivery.
• Prioritize production according to delivery commitments.
• Monitor daily production progress against the plan.
• Maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and production routing in the ERP system.
• Identify opportunities to improve planning accuracy and production efficiency.
• Support Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives.
• Prepare daily and monthly production reports.
• Analyze production variances, bottlenecks, and resource utilization.
• Plan fabrication, machining, welding, painting, assembly, and testing activities.
• Coordinate long lead-time items such as motors, gearboxes, wire ropes, electrical panels, and structural steel.
• Ensure compliance with project timelines for EOT cranes, gantry cranes, jib cranes, and customized lifting equipment.
