Job summary

Elematic India is seeking a seasoned Senior Structural Engineer to lead the Structural Engineering function, delivering designs, calculations and drawings for complex precast, RCC and steel projects from concept to final deliverables.

You will mentor a team of Structural Engineers and Designers, ensure compliance with national and international codes (ACI, BS, Eurocodes, Indian Standards), and collaborate with Projects, Sales, Estimation and Production to drive value engineering and timely

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 12-20 years of relevant experience in structural design and engineering.
• Experience with precast concrete, RCC, and/or steel structures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Structural Engineering function ensuring timely, high-quality design deliverables.
• Independently lead precast, RCC, and steel structural projects from concept to final deliverables.
• Review and approve structural analyses, calculations, and designs.
• Mentor a team of Structural Engineers and Designers.
• Ensure compliance with national and international design codes (ACI, BS, Eurocodes, Indian Standards).
• Coordinate with Projects, Sales, Estimation, Production, and cross-functional teams.
• Provide technical support to Sales & Marketing during proposals and discussions.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Lead the Structural Engineering function and ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality delivery of engineering designs, calculations, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Independently lead complex Precast, RCC, and Steel structural engineering projects from concept/design stage through final engineering deliverables.
• Review and approve structural analysis, design calculations, design concepts, and technical solutions prepared by the engineering team.
• Lead and mentor a team of Structural Engineers and Designers, ensuring effective resource planning, work allocation, technical guidance, and timely project delivery.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant National and International design codes and standards, including ACI, BS, Eurocodes, and applicable Indian Standards.
• Coordinate closely with Projects, Sales, Estimation, Production, and other cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and smooth project execution.
• Provide technical and engineering support to the Sales & Marketing team during proposals, technical discussions, and customer presentations.
• Lead technical interactions with clients, consultants, architects, and other external stakeholders and provide effective solutions to engineering/design-related requirements.
• Drive value engineering and design optimization to achieve technically sound and cost-effective solutions.
• Establish and maintain engineering quality standards, design processes, review mechanisms, and best practices within the department.
• Identify technical risks at an early stage and ensure appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
• Support continuous improvement, standardization, and development of engineering capabilities within the organization.

Preferred candidate profile

• Qualification: B.E/B.tech or M.E./M.Tech in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering.
• Experience: 12-20 years of relevant experience in structural design and engineering, with strong exposure to Precast Concrete, RCC, and/or Steel Structures.
• Candidates with experience in precast technology, large-scale engineering projects, international projects, or multinational engineering organizations will be preferred.
