Job summary

Talent Hr Networks is seeking a General Manager for Supply Chain Management & Procurement in Talegaon Pune. You will lead end-to-end procurement, sourcing, logistics, material planning and vendor management for a large-scale infrastructure project.

You will drive strategic sourcing, negotiations and cost optimization across domestic and international suppliers, ensuring timely material availability and adherence to budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, SCM, Operations or Business Administration.
• MBA/PGDM in SCM, Procurement or Operations is an advantage.
• 15+ years in supply chain, strategic procurement, project procurement, sourcing and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement and sourcing strategy; identify reliable domestic and international suppliers.
• Lead RFQ/RFP processes, technocommercial evaluations, negotiations and supplier finalization.
• Align procurement decisions with project timelines, technical specifications and commercial objectives.
• Drive cost optimization, value engineering and total cost of ownership initiatives.
• Develop detailed material procurement plans; track long-lead items and ensure timely PO placement.
• Build and manage vendor ecosystem; conduct capability assessments, audits and performance reviews.
• Plan and manage logistics for heavy, high-value and time-critical consignments; ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Review and negotiate commercial terms of contracts and purchase orders; manage supplier claims.
• Maintain supply chain risk register; identify potential disruptions and establish contingency plans.
• Lead and develop the SCM team; build capability in strategic sourcing, negotiation and project procurement.

Role Purpose

The General Manager Supply Chain Management & Procurement will lead endtoend procurement, sourcing, logistics, material planning and vendor management for a largescale, technically complex infrastructure project. The role ensures timely availability of critical materials, equipment, systems and services in line with project schedules, quality standards and budgets. It demands strong commercial acumen, technical understanding, project procurement expertise and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, suppliers and contractors in a timesensitive environment.

Candidate Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations or Business Administration. MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain, Procurement or Operations is an advantage.
• Experience: 15+ years in supply chain, strategic procurement, project procurement, sourcing and vendor management. Strong background in EPC, infrastructure, industrial, manufacturing or technically complex projects.
• Expertise in highvalue, multicategory procurement with domestic and international suppliers; experience with longlead equipment/material procurement is highly desirable.
