Knorr-Bremse Systems for Commercial Vehicles India Pvt. Ltd. Pune invites a seasoned Global Sourcing Head to lead SEA and India procurement, drive cost reductions, and align supplier strategies with global teams.

The role requires extensive supplier management experience and a track record of leading cross-functional sourcing initiatives. You will manage vendor selection, PPAP for new parts, negotiate long-term contracts, and build a high-performance team while ensuring timely supply and quality

Formación

• Bachelor / Masters in Engineering (required).
• 18-20 years of professional experience in Supplier Management with global sourcing experience for 5-8 years.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the Global sourcing team for SEA and India from supplier selection to strategic planning.
• Evaluate and select vendors per KB Global guidelines; drive new part development to meet timelines.
• Negotiate long-term contracts; manage cost targets and supplier relations to ensure on-time global supply.
• Ensure supply to global locations per projections to meet annual purchases/savings.
• Coach and develop the team; implement SOPs and monitor performance and training needs.

Position: Global Sourcing Head - SEA and India

Required education/training : Bachelor / Masters in Engineering

Required work experience

18-20 years of professional experience in Supplier Management (Preferably in a Multinational Company with Global sourcing experience for min 5-8 years)

Key figures (e.g. KPI)

• Global Sourcing from SEA & India within cost reduction targets
• All Global parts localisation projects timeline adherence
• GSO expense control , monthly Business Case and MIS update.
• Training & Development of the Team
• Implementing standard operating procedures
• seeking Global support and providing support to team
• Quality focus for Recall avoidance

20-22 years professional experience in Purchasing , Working experience in European MNC ( must ) with Global sourcing leadership role for 3- 5 years. Mindset , understanding and experience in managing EU/ USA/Asian customer's expectaions.

Individual tasks and responsibilities :

• Responsible for the Global sourcing team from supplier selection to no recall Strategic planning
• Evaluation & selection of vendors as per KB Global guidelines
• Driving Global Sourcing New Part Development to complete as per time line
• Ensuring supply to different global locations as per projections to meet target of Annual Purchase/savings Value.
• Team building, Team development and personalised coaching by identifying the gaps
• Negotiation, Commercial Settlement, Long Term Contracts with suppliers.
• Supplier Relation Improvement, support in suppliers quality and delivery performance improvement
• Completion of PPAP for New Part Development
• Strategic Planning and supplier upgradation
• Align and take support from Global category and GSO coordinator in Europe/Asia/USA
• MATERIAL COST WITHIN Target
• To monitor price, Product costing,To put forward new ideas to reduce cost
• NEW PART DEVELOPMENT
• To select suppliers,To negotiate price, To monitor project timeline, To monitor project costs, To meet time deadlines for product development, IN ORDER TO develop new products for exports with current suppliers ensure RAMP UP PART PRODUCTION AT SUPPLIER END TO AVOID SHORTAGES GLOBALLY. Align/with Local CVS Purchasing team for such cases
• To ensure supplier capacity as per requirement,To communicate to suppliers on KB long term planning.
• INTERDEPARTMENT & GLOBAL TEAM COORDINATION
• To interact with various departments locally and Globally for ensuring timely product development, Testing & Validation and logistics for timely exports as per the schedules. Closely coordinate with the GSO support Managers at Europe/Asia/USA

ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

To define the job description and number of people required based on the growth plans

To select people based on interview and recommendation with Global support

To assess skill gap of team members & impart training and counselling

To review their performance and give feedback and prepare development plan

To foster a culture of team working across functions

To communicate to team on long term business plans of the company

Main Required professional skills for position

• Profund know how and solid experience in process and manufacturing technology of Aluminium Casting, Iron Casting, Stampings, Machining, Surface treatment, Plastic & Rubber, Electronics
• Knowledge of good supplier base for Automotive parts
• Know-How and experience with Problem Solving Methods/Tools
• Know-How aboutIATF16949; ISO/TS16949;ISO14001, VDA 6.3, PPAP, VDA2, Product Safety Management and QMPP requirements
• Project timeline monitoring experience through various software tools
• Product costing & Negotiation Skills
• Understanding of various product development and Benchmarking processes
• Monitoring Things gone right/ Things gone wrong (Tgr & Tgw)
• Knowledge of product liability & Recall insurance and implications
• As needed, Arranging technology experts (internally or externally) within India or Globally for supplier development related issues
• High understanding of Global QCDR requirement
