Job summary

Havells India is seeking an experienced Sourcing Engineer in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh. The role focuses on creating supplier pools for SDA/PG categories, driving cost optimization, and engaging during early product development with APQP and PPAP practices.

Candidates should have a B.Tech in Electrical/Mechanical and at least 5 years in FG sourcing for SDA products, with exposure to India/China suppliers and Six Sigma tools. On-site role based in Dadri, UP.

Qualifications

• B.Tech in Electrical or Mechanical engineering is required.
• At least 5 years in FG sourcing for SDA product category.
• Exposure to sourcing, part development and quality management for India/China suppliers.
• Experience using Six Sigma tools for problem solving is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a pool of suppliers for SDA/PG product categories based on market requirements.
• Strive for best cost using sourcing methodologies and develop alternatives to overcome cost/supply challenges.
• Assist design in new product development through early supplier engagement and APQP/PPAP development.
• Upgrade supplier base to deliver global quality products (dev process, machinery, tool room, quality process validation, process flow).
• Establish improvement plans for non-performing suppliers and conduct periodic supplier reviews.

Job description

Key Responsibility

• 1) Creation of a pool of Suppliers for SDA/PG product categories as per Market Requirements.


• 2) Strive for the best cost using sourcing methodologies & develop alternatives to overcome cost/ supply challenges.


• 3) Assist design in new product development through early supplier engagement & follow APQP & PPAP development methodologies.


• 4) Upgradation of Supplier base to deliver global quality products (Dev Process, Machinery, Tool Room, Quality Process Validation, Process Flow, etc.).


• 5) Establish Improvement plan for Non-Performing suppliers & Periodic supplier Review. Should have a thorough understanding of the cost structure of various categories such as Molding, Sheet Metal, Electrical, Packaging, Casting, etc

Requirements

• 1) B.Tech Electrical / Mechanical - full time


• 2) Has worked in an FG sourcing role for at least 5 Years in the SDA product category.


• 3) Has exposure to sourcing, Part Development & Quality Management for India / China based suppliers.


• 4) Exposure to Six Sigma tools for problem solving.
