Job summary

GE Vernova in India seeks a Lean Transformation Leader to coach and drive lean behaviors across business management roles. You will partner with GMs and executive leads to push cultural change and step-change improvements in key metrics, including in robotics and automation initiatives.

You will develop a robust continuous improvement strategy with the management team, guide Kaizen facilitation, and report progress while ensuring risks and milestones are tracked.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of lean implementation experience in manufacturing.
  • 14+ years overall manufacturing/lean experience preferred.
  • Fluent English and strong leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Coach and drive lean behaviors, partnering with operating leaders.
  • Lead cultural transformation to improve operational metrics.
  • Facilitate kaizen events and problem solving with root-cause analysis.
  • Support robotics, automation, AI projects in manufacturing and logistics.

Job Description Summary

Coach, drive and lead lean behaviors, principles, and tools by partnering with Operating Leaders in business management roles (e.g. GM of Business Unit, or Executive Lead of a Function). Drive cultural transformation resulting in step-change in operational business metrics. May also be roles that are part of Corporate Operational Excellence Team.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Lean: 5S, SW, VSM, SMED, Single Piece Flow, Strategy Deployment, Kanban, Heijunka, daily management @ genba, SQDIP/SQDC, VOC, Action Planning
  • Problem Solving skills and root cause analysis capabilities
  • Kaizen facilitation
  • Robotics and automation and AI industrial experience
  • Leadership and communication skills, influencing techniques
Strategy and Development
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice Lean vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational and transactional performance
  • Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on Lean activities
General and Task Management
  • Develop a robust continuous improvement strategy in partnership with the Management Team and key business stakeholders
  • Implement and support cultural change across the organization and drive business improvement in a Toyota Lean style
  • Provide project management, analytical and research skills and expertise
  • Provide expertise, professional advice and guidance to the business in business improvement, drawing from proven industry practice and methodologies
  • Report on progress of projects, understanding the risks, dependencies, budgets, resourcing, issues, critical milestones and forthcoming pipeline, and actions necessary to ensure success
  • Undertake continuous training and developmentContribute and support the operational rhythm
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
  • Identify business improvement opportunities within the organization
  • Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department
  • DfX, support in NPI to ensure manufacturability, automation, standardization
  • Support automation and robotization projects in manufacturing and logistics from Lean perspective
  • Alignment of 3P with Automation & Robotics integrations
  • Support make or buy evaluations
  • Good practice evaluation and deployment
  • New AI opportunities evaluation and deployment
  • Intra functional VSM
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience of Lean implementation in Lean dedicated roles in manufacturing industry and overall experience of 14+years.
