Job summary

Trimble is seeking a payroll professional to manage, document, and disburse payroll checks, taxes, and employee benefit payments for Germany. You will partner with the People eXperience and Corporate Finance teams to ensure statutory accounting compliance and produce reports on payroll expenditures.

You will own payroll processing accuracy, coordinate with the vendor for monthly results, and handle accruals, prepayments, and HRIS-to-Cloudpay data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing for Germany.
• Collaborate with the payroll vendor to ensure correct monthly results and compliance.
• Complete payroll-related accruals and prepayments.
• Ensure data integrity from HRIS (Workday) to Cloudpay via integration reports.
• Be the main point of contact for employees about payroll.
• Provide backup for the team and use Cloudpay calendar for worldwide payroll.
• Reconcile monthly payroll-related balance sheet with Finance.
• Analyze ad hoc improvements impacting payroll in France, Spain, Italy.
• Gather approvals for Cloudpay uploads (TOP, commissions, ESPP, RSU).

Job description

This function will manage, prepare, document, and disburse payroll checks, payroll taxes, and employee benefit payments for Germany. This role partners closely with Trimble’s People eXperience (human resources) and Corporate Finance teams to ensure compliance with our statutory accounting. In addition, this role is responsible for creating reports illustrating payroll expenditures, including such items as tax payments and benefit plan disbursements.

Day-to-day activities include:

• Ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing for Germany.
• Partner with Trimble’s payroll vendor to ensure the monthly correct payroll results and timely compliance/reporting with government authorities in all countries under the scope.
• Take ownership of the completion of payroll-related accruals and prepayments.
• Ensure data integrity from Trimble’s HRIS (Workday) to Cloudpay through the integration reports
• Act as the main point of contact for employees about payroll
• Act as backup for the rest of the team, using the Cloudpay calendar for payroll processes worldwide
• Partner with the broader Finance team to complete monthly payroll-related balance sheet reconciliations
• Analyze ad hoc improvements/practices that may impact payroll in France, Spain, & Italy and work with internal and external stakeholders to arrive at the best payroll solution for Trimble.
• Gather manual input, including appropriate approvals for upload in Cloudpay (TOP, commissions, ESPP, RSU).
