Job summary

Medico Hub in Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu, is seeking a Consultant General Medicine to manage OPD and IPD cases, with emergency duties as needed. You will diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions, coordinate with multiple specialists, and provide comprehensive patient care in a high-volume hospital setting.

The role requires MD General Medicine or DNB General Medicine with valid Tamil Nadu/NMC registration, and offers strong clinical exposure and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• MD General Medicine or DNB General Medicine required.
• Valid NMC / Tamil Nadu Medical Council registration required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct General Medicine OPD consultations and manage IPD patients.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Manage diabetes, hypertension, infections, respiratory disorders and other general medical cases.
• Attend to medical emergencies and provide timely stabilization.
• Conduct inpatient rounds and monitor patient progress.
• Review and interpret laboratory investigations, ECG and other diagnostic reports.
• Develop treatment plans and monitor response to treatment.
• Manage complications in post-operative and critically ill patients.
• Provide pre-operative medical evaluation and clearance when required.
• Coordinate with specialists across cardiology, neurology, nephrology, gastroenterology, surgeons and intensivists.
• Counsel patients and attendants regarding diagnosis, treatment, medication and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate case sheets, prescriptions and discharge summaries.
• Participate in emergency/on-call duties as required.
• Follow infection-control, patient-safety and clinical protocols.
